I have never been more excited or encouraged about a online study like the one you and I are about to embark on. The work of the Holy Spirit cannot be covered in just nine lessons! We have not scratched the surface. This study is focused mainly on the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. This is the first of a full-length ongoing study of the Holy Spirit and His work in our lives as Believers coming to Spirit Journals. This study is probably however the most controversial because of the division between many in the Body of Christ over this subject. Entire denominations oppose the teaching of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, yet millions have been gloriously filled with God's Spirit in a second work of grace AFTER they have been born again. Neighbor, let me state this up front - YOU NEED THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES! I have dear friends who don't agree with that. We don't stop being friends over it - but I hold my ground with this. The baptism in the Holy Ghost is the greatest gift to the believer, just as salvation is the greatest gift to the sinner.

What we do hope and pray for you as you embark on the above mentioned study lessons with us that you will develop a thirst and hunger for God unlike anything you have ever had before in your life. We pray that those of you who have not received the glorious “baptism” in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues will believe the Lord for this life-changing experience. We want to make it clear that we do NOT believe one has to speak in tongues to be saved. We do NOT believe that if a person speaks in an unknown tongue that automatically means they are going to be a better Christian. There are NO EXPERIENCES out there that can zap us into Christian perfection. If there were, there are not any of us who would not be lined up for that by the MILLIONS to receive it, believe me! No, receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit will not relinquish you of your responsibility in a daily intimate walk with the Lord. What it WILL do, is open the door for a great number of operations and abilities the Holy Spirit wants to put inside of you. That doesn’t mean He cannot do these same things if you are just saved and not filled with the Holy Spirit. God is God and God can do whatever He wants to. But it’s been my experience that people who are used in the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit through the years have been people who have been gloriously baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. ALL OF THIS WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE CROSS OF CHRIST. Whatever the Holy Spirit does, the CROSS is the central reason why. His work is the make what Jesus did REAL to us so we can be conformed into His image.

Romans 8:26-29 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Tongues seem to be one of the most controversial subjects in the Body of Christ today. They shouldn’t be! God did not send back the Holy Ghost to divide us as a body. Somehow though man has gotten this sick thought in his head that HE can do the work of the ministry on his own ability and understanding and not have to lean on and depend on the HOLY GHOST. THAT IS A LIE! We need the Holy Spirit as believers. When we pray in the Spirit, or pray in tongues if you will, we are connecting to heaven in such a way, that not even Satan can interfere with this communication! Why would ANYONE not want that? You need the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Paul said tongues are a "SIGN" to those who do not believe. In other words, when one speaks in tongues, it's a warning to a sinful fallen race that the Lord is coming soon. Joel said in the LAST DAYS God would "pour out HIS Spirit" upon ALL FLESH, including our sons and daughters. The rains of the Spirit are falling neighbor as a warning to us all to get ready for the rapture. Jesus is coming. Tribulation is ahead of Planet Earth and judgment is not far behind. Every single move of the Holy Ghost in scripture was followed by great judgment upon Jerusalem or the Earth. This last move of God will be no different.

Isaiah 28:11-12
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. [12] To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. Isaiah 28:13-14  But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
[14] Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

Joel 2:28-29
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: [29] And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Acts 2:17-21
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: [18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: [19] And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: [20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
 

On another level of this discussion. If someone cannot believe in ALL what the Spirit of God does in one's life then that individual will more than likely be more persuaded to not believe other things concerning the faith as well. With the things of God we cannot pick and choose what we wish to embrace and the things we don't. We may have areas of little understanding and light but if we will ask the Lord, He will give us light on any subject we lack wisdom in! Most of the arguments against tongues are not innocent ignorance but willful unbelief!

Get your seat belt on and let’s take a journey. I hope you read something that makes you either mad or glad. If you get mad then that means you may have hunger and not understanding. If you get glad it means you have both. Either way, we’re glad you have come to this part of the website. We love you and our goal here is not to offend or draw swords but to encourage, edify and exhort you as a believer (and ourselves as well – we’re in this journey together) to get so full of God in these last days that NOTHING will come between Him and an unbridled passion burning in our hearts for His Son, Jesus Christ. If we love the Son, then we LOVE the Father. The only way to love the Son like we should is through the POWER of the HOLY GHOST birthing the LOVE OF GOD in our hearts. (Romans 5:5-8) People today are so busying trying to ‘DO’ when the Lord is only saying ‘ABIDE’ and ‘LOVE.’

Romans 5:5-9
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. [6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. [7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Love is the key ingredient the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts. Everything we receive from the Lord comes from His LOVE to us and a command for us to operate in whatever gift we receive from Him in it. People who don’t function in agape or Godly love are not Spirit-filled people. They may have an experience, but they don’t have GOD!

Heavenly Father, in Yeshua’s name, we ask You to fill every hungry heart that is embarking on this spiritual journey with us. Thank You for sending the HOLY GHOST to Earth to reveal Yeshuah, your Son, to us in a more deeper, intimate and fuller way. We need MORE of YOU oh Lord. Even if we have already been baptized in the Holy Spirit, we need MORE OF YOU. Even if we think we’ve went to ‘another’ level of ministry – WE NEED MORE OF YOU. Even if we think we’ve reached the top ‘rung’ of the ladder with You Lord –WE NEED MORE OF YOU! FILL OUR HEARTS today with overflowing of power, grace, anointing and LOVE for Yeshuah so we may love a lost and dying world as You do. Birth compassion in our hearts for the coming harvest and send us Oh, Lord into the fields that are white and ready. In Yeshua’s name we ask. Amen.
