The Brazen Serpent Upon The Pole

There is only one remedy for sin - the blood of Jesus. When Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, he was setting forth an eternal lesson for all humanity who has been bitten by the snake bite of sin. We ALL have been snake bitten no matter who we are or how we pretend we have not been. The result of the snake bite is guilt. Jesus blood washes us free from the power and pain of sin so we can truly become new creatures in CHRIST. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so too must we lift up the cross today in the modern church!

       The year was 1994, the city was Kampala, Uganda. It marked the first time I had ever gotten the chance to preach overseas. It was an experience I'll certainly never forget. I preached there two nights in the city park, the first night out of Nehemiah, the second night from the text of this journal.

        Uganda is known as the pearl of Africa. The country suffered a horrendous ordeal for nearly 2 decades under the murderous regime of Idi Amin, a demented man whose one goal was to destroy  the influence of Christianity from Uganda and see to it that Islam reign supreme.   As I sat there during the services I saw something unlike anything in my life. The hurt, the remorse, the regrets, the pain, the suffering, all etched on the faces of many who had lost love ones during Amin's reign as leader. Our guide was about 20 years old or so and told us horrific stories including his own. As a child he had watched from the attic of his home as Amin's guards murdered his parents in cold blood in their front rooms. They looked for our guide without any success. He had become a part of then President Museveni's government as an intelligence officer.

        His story epitomized the hearts of untold thousands of Uganda then as it may still do so today.  Something happened though in the crusade that made me realize that Uganda's problems, even though worse in some ways, were no different from America, or any other nation. The reason for Uganda's bloody past was sin. Sin destroys nations, plain and simple.

        I remember sitting in the crowd watching the people listen to the host of the crusade talk for nearly an hour about God's prosperity. He told the people that if they gave their hearts to Jesus then all their financial worries would go away. Since Uganda was a very poor nation, the message resonated throughout the crowd. Many stood applauding, screaming for the crusade host to touch them and hopefully do something to cause them to come out of their poverty. The same crowd grew deathly silent a few hours later as I ministered on the effects of sin and the need for us all to look to the cross in repentance so that we may not die.

        Some believe that the deadly virus of AIDS actually started somewhere in Uganda. The strain of the disease has been traced back to cells found in research of victims taken from this Central African nation. Polygamy was rampant even while we were there in 1994. Many of the men who assisted us during our stay were men who had multiple wives and did not think anything about it. It was common practice for a person to have multiple sex partners. The result though was devastating. Millions had died. We met the Secretary of the Interior who was a gracious host as well to us while there. He too had the disease and was dying. We prayed for him before we left and the power of God touched him in such a way that he fell to the floor at his home. He told us as we boarded the plane that he had seen a light in his house touch his forehead and then felt heat go throughout his body. One thing he promised us was that he would put away the many wives he had and remain married to just one.

        His story mirrored thousands of others. The sad footnote to this is that the multitudes wanted to receive prosperity from God even though they were dying but did not want to repent of the sin that caused them to be dying in the first place. You may say "well that is Uganda, this is America." Exactly my point. Sin is sin, no matter whether it's in Uganda or it's in Uganda. Man is under a death sentence because of it and there is only one hope and one cure for it - the BLOOD OF JESUS! Greed is a problem with the poor as well as the rich. The poor want what the rich have. The rich want even more than what they already have. It's a vicious cycle and one that always leads to heartache. The LOVE of money is the ROOT of all evil.

         As I watched the people respond to our host on this night in 1994 I remember the excitement of the people coming forward wishing to have hands laid on them to receive financial blessings from God. Many of them came running almost literally to the altar to receive such a promise and a great promise it is. There is nothing scripturally wrong about the fact that God wants to bless His people. The problem is not with the message it's what we in the church have turned the message into.

       Prior to my message that night, I began to question the Holy Spirit on whether I had heard from him. I knew my message was going to be like oil and water compared to the host's words. I had felt all day long the Lord wanting me to warn the people that the healing of the nation's wounds would be tied directly into the level of their repentance both corporately and individually. At the altar call for prosperity hundreds responded. At the altar call later for salvation we had only 3 or 4 come forward. Repentance isn't popular anymore overseas than it is here.

      I want to take you back to an earlier time in Israel's history when another revival of sorts also broke out but not before the nation suffered great loss and tragedy. As we wrote in a separate journal (The Plague) no less than SIX times did Moses intercede for the people before God to save them from total destruction and annihilation because of sin.

        A nation redeemed and blessed by God like no other. The miracles He did to bring them out of Egypt were some of the most breathtaking events in any nation's history. Israel was a blessed nation, but she hardened her heart many times as she went forward en route to the Promised Land, climaxing at the failure at Kadesh Barnea which sent an entire generation into the wilderness for 40 years. It was during these wilderness wanderings that the nation never really learned the lessons of the failure of unbelief at Kadesh Barnea. Paul called it the days of provocation. Rebellion after rebellion, failure after failure followed. The Lord was GRIEVED with that generation whose "carcasses" fell in the wilderness. He swore to Himself they would never enter into the rest He had prepared for them. And neighbor, when God decrees such judgment against you, it's OVER.

Hebrews 3:15-19
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. [16] For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. [17] But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? [18] And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? [19] So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
 

       Rebellion and sin have a price. There are no short-cuts or deals to be made with the results of it.  There is no way to sin and get by without penalty. Even after we repent sometimes, we must reap the consequences of our actions. If a young man gets a young lady pregnant outside marriage, he may repent of the evil deed he did, but the price of that sin still has to be addressed. There is a baby now to take care of and two lives probably ruined unless God intervenes in the situation.

        The wages of SIN are DEATH. DEATH is real today. The minute we are born, we are in essence dying. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, death entered into the entire human race. God told Adam and Eve (the first man and woman) that they could eat of any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  God said that the very day that they ate of that tree that they would die.  The serpent, the Devil, deceived Eve and she ate of the forbidden tree and also gave some fruit to Adam and he also at of it.  That day Adam and Eve died on the inside (in their spirit).  Genesis 2:16-3:6 They had been "SNAKE BITTEN" like the Israelites would be some 2,000 years later. The result was spiritual death.

Gen. 2:16-3:6 - And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: [17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die. [3:1] Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? [2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. [4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: [5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. [6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

        About 2,000 years later, the Israelite people spoke against their leader, Moses, and against God.  For this sin of rebellion, God sent some poisonous, fiery snakes to bite the people and many of the people died. That's what happens when you lose site of the cross - you become bitter, resentful, critical and cynical! You start murmuring against God's people and God Himself.  And that opens the door for the snakes to bite friend. Sin is not a trifling matter in the life of the believer, no more than it is in the life of the one who has never been born again. Sin is sin and the price is the same. And I will remind you once again that there are NO EXCEPTIONS to that rule. Eternity is full of people who thought they were exempt from the penalty of sin and they found out they were not.

        Hear what I say to you today. Five minutes in the pit of hell will clear up your theology. You hear me? Let me change that - five SECONDS actually will change it. The atheist who don't believe in hell will know five seconds after he dies that "hey hell is real and God is real." Five seconds in the pit for some preachers will cause them to realize that such things as holiness, righteousness, and Godly living are not old fashioned terms they read about in some outdated book. They are mandates for heaven! In the pit, there will be no preachers preaching against the baptism in the Holy Ghost!! In the pit there will be no preachers preaching against the things of the Spirit. There will be preachers preaching truth in hell but it will then be out of remorse that they didn't do it here on Earth and led millions astray into hell with them. Many preachers are in hell today because they preached a God to their people that they themselves knew nothing about! You can preach ABOUT God without KNOWING God preacher! And the snakes are among us and they're biting our people while we preach foolishness and error today.

All Are Alike

        When it comes to the sin issue - ALL ARE ALIKE. There are none who can exempt themselves from the fact they are under the death sentence of sin. ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
 

        Mister, you can own 10 cars, have 20 homes, have millions in the bank but underneath the skin you are no better than the worst drunk or drug addict on the street corner - you're a sinner! The world don't understand that. Israel never understood that during the time of Jesus and we don't understand that today.

    The world looks at the man or woman who is a good citizen, pays their taxes, never steals or cusses, goes to church every week and says "there goes a real Christian person."  The outward good may hide a heart full of darkness and sin but if someone is "good" they are labeled "saved" today.

    On the other hand,  if someone is bad, we tend to judge them the other way and automatically assume they are a sinner without God. NEITHER case may be true at all. The worst of men may have the purest of motives and be the easiest to reach with the gospel. When God chose Saul he did not choose Jerusalem's man of the year! He chose one of the meanest, cruelest Pharisees He could find. Just because we are "good" does not make us saved. When the rich young ruler came inquiring of Jesus on what he must do to inherit eternal life he called the Lord, "GOOD" Master. Jesus replied to him quickly that "no one is good but GOD." No one good but GOD? That doesn't make sense to many of you reading this. It doesn't make sense in the modern church's view of redemption either. We link Christianity with conservatism and morality. Certainly morality is important but the worst of sinners never crucified our Lord - it was the most religious! We have this distorted view in the church today that somehow man's goodness will deliver him from the evil that is in him - and it will NOT! Man is snake bitten. And man is dying!

    The problem with us is we want to sin with impunity. In other words we really don't believe the snakes will bite us if we disobey God and we sure don't think the snake bites will be fatal. If we did we'd treat sin differently than we do in the church today! But neighbor hear me - the snakes always bite and the snakes always kill. The snakes the Lord sent into Israel's camp were venomous. That is the nature of sin! Sin KILLS.

    In scripture there are three kinds of death:

1. Physical death—the separation of the inner man from the body (James 2:26)

2. Spiritual death—separation from God because of sin (Ephes. 2:1,5; Isaiah 59:2; Matthew 8:22; Col. 2:13; 1 Tim. 5:6)

3. Eternal death—eternal separation from God because man chooses to remain separated from God in sin (Matthew 10:28; Matthew 25:41,46; Rev. 2:11; Rev. 14:9-11; Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:8; Rev. 22:15 Isaiah 66:22-24). This is called the second death or second separation from God (Rev. 2:11; Rev. 20:14; Rev. 21:8). Death in all Scripture means separation from the purpose for which one was created, never annihilation or extinction of being. Physical death is separation of the inner man from the body. Only the body dies at this time and goes back to dust (Genesis 3:19; James 2:26). The spirit and soul are immortal and are either dead in sins or in possession of eternal life in Christ at the time of physical death. In either case, they continue in consciousness whether in heaven or hell

        Sin causes all three! When Adam sinned the death sentence on man's flesh began. But he also suffered spiritual death as well. Mankind sits in a spiritually dead state without Christ. Paul likened our condition before salvation to being "dead in trespasses and sin." (Eph. 2:1-9) And nothing man tries to do to stop the death sentence in him works. We try to stay younger and look prettier and keep the wrinkles off this decaying flesh - and NOTHING WORKS. And in the same way we try to stay young, we try to beat the snake bites with humanistic efforts and nothing we try to do to keep man from SPIRITUALLY dying works either!

        Mister, you can keep going to those Alcoholics Anonymous meetings all you want but they will not set you free from the sin that is killing you on the inside. Lady, you can attend all the fashion bazaars at church and wear all the pretty hats you want but none of that will save you from the loneliness and regret you have over the immoral lifestyle you're living when no one is watching.

    How do I know the snakes are biting us? Because we're drowning in GUILT. Guilt is the effect of the snake's bite. We do like Adam and Eve did - we HIDE from God and pray the bite don't kill us. This generation is dying from the guilt of its sin.

        That's why the Pentecostal and Charismatic part of the church has had to go into the psychology business. Since we've abandoned the cross, we don't have anything else to offer hurting humanity but a 12-step program or the counselor's sofa. Lisa and I attended a large AOG church in Knoxville for a few years which actually had a Christian psychologist on staff to help with any issues members in the church may have. The lady who did the counseling was a very nice lady but she did not have the answer to the ills of the congregation. Friend, hear what I say to you. If you can go sit down on a sofa and talk your problem out and get up free from that problem, JESUS DIED IN VAIN. If some individual (who is infected with the same sin problem as you are if not worse) can wave a magic wand and your heart and life change suddenly, then Jesus died in VAIN. The sin issues surrounding the body today are going to take more than waving magic wands and sitting on some shrink's sofa (and I don't care if they say they ARE a Christian psychologist - they are not your answer!) My God help us. The power of sin cannot be broken that way. The only power that can break the shackles and the bondages of sin is the BLOOD of the Lord Jesus Christ. The blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood. Preach the blood preacher, preach the blood preacher. It's not the blood AND something else. It's the BLOOOOOOOD.

1 John 1:5-8
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. [6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
 

        I remember not too terribly long ago the church experienced what is and was then referred to as the "laughter" movement. Many Christian believers were truly touched by the Lord being delivered from depression and being set free from years of a sad, sorrowful spirit that had hindered their joy and walk with God. It is wonderful to know that many got delivered, but the question has to be asked, why were so many born-again, spirit-filled Christians depressed in the first place??????? Why were so many delivered from the GUILT that normally comes from a sinful life and a life of disobedience???? The answer is very very simple - the snakes have bitten us! And could it be that since we have stopped preaching the cross our people have fallen into cynicism and bitterness and become so critical they have brought the snakes out to bite??? You say, "well the church isn't cynical or critical," YES WE ARE! Yes we are. The rifts between the denominational world and those in the Pentecostal part of the church have grown larger each year. More and more men are getting behind pulpits and slamming everything that is supernatural labeling it of Satan and not of God.

        This has caused many to question God's power and not know whether what is happening among them is real or not. Cynicism in the church is a horrible problem today. So many just don't believe God is real any more. Who is to blame for that?? God sure isn't. His power is as real today as it was millions of years ago when He decreed the creation of the universe. I mean friend, I have a 9-year old son who was recently baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Just the other night he was at a church service praising the Lord, lifting his hands, when the power of God came all over him. He started weeping not knowing what was happening but was so tender in his heart toward God that he just went to the altar, lifted his hands and said "Lord here I am."

        He told his mother and me later that when he lifted his hands, He felt the Lord take everything out of him that was not pleasing to the Father. <I feel like shouting right now.> My Lord help us, My Lord Help us. Why can my 9-year old understand the power of God and submit himself to it, yet some preachers with multiple letters in front of their names can't????? WHY do we not trust the FATHER in heaven to pour out upon us His anointing and NOT give us a stone, or a serpent? Why are we so cynical to the moving of the Holy Ghost in our churches and yet we will sit around our homes and watch the psychics, the mediums and the occultic industry of America parade the power of Satan and we remain totally silent???????? That's why the snakes are biting our people! That's why our people are dying with guilt. That's why Christians are spending thousands of dollars to see shrinks and putting more faith in Ophrah Winfrey and Dr. Laura to tell them  what to do in the church than they do GOD!

        I am thinking of a huge Baptist church right now in Knoxville where the pastor is as educated as educated can be - yet he will not allow ANYONE to even speak in tongues on the church property. He consistently gets up each Sunday and decrees all of that Holy  Ghost "stuff" is of the devil and furthermore even it is was of God it is not for today. His church is packed Sunday to Sunday with people who applaud that statement every week. Let God be true and every man be a LIAR. He decreed that if anyone is heard doing such they are to be brought to him and they will be asked to leave. I GUESS I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE...GLORY TO GOD. I feel this neighbor. The only power on earth that will set you free from the snake bite of sin is the power of the blood of the Risen Christ through the anointing and unction of the HOLY GHOST! The Holy Spirit has come to dwell inside of us to bring the reality of that freedom to us so we may walk FREE and clean of the bondages and shackles and powers of sin and darkness. And those who are truly free walk free from the cynicism and bitterness of this age.

        That's why suicide rates among church folks are going up these days if you haven't noticed. People are succumbing to the snake bites. There is something seriously wrong among us if we will but take a moment and see it. There are issues that we cannot just sweep under the rug and hope they go away. Sin never goes away. The snake bites are not going to heal with us offering the people our poodle shows, putt-putt games, Sunday bazaars, softball teams and Christian concerts every week. It's enough to make one want to VOMIT!! It makes me sick to see the mass amount of activity the church offers the world without offering the world what the world REALLY NEEDS - JESUS!

        Men are dying as Israel was dying so long ago from the snake bites. It's interesting to note that it says "the Lord sent the snakes among the people." Neighbor hear me. God's mercy endures forever but His mercy is not given to the unrepentant, bitter, cynical or criticizer out there. He hates murmuring and complaining. He says in His word in Proverbs that one of the things He hates is one who "sows discord among the brethren." When we murmur and complain against God and cease to be thankful, we bring wrath upon ourselves. We open the doors for the snakes to bite and bite they will. And we will die from their poison.

        Some of you reading this right now are dying of the poison of bitterness. Resentment has set in for a wrong been done to you in your past. You've never placed that wrong under the blood of Jesus. You hurt and have isolated yourself into a prison that no one can set you free from except Jesus. All the church's efforts to entertain you, to thrill you to  make you feel safe in its environment can't unlock that door can it? You still go home at night and lay on that bed crying yourself to sleep because of the pain and hurt.

        Friend if you keep harboring those resentments and bitter roots - you will ultimately carry those resentments to hell with you. Sounds blunt don't it? It's meant to. It's meant to show you that the snake has bitten you and you need to look upon the brazen serpent on the pole as Israel did so long ago. That brazen serpent was a type of CHRIST and his cross and the power of His resurrection!

Make Thee A Brazen Serpent

Numbers 21: 8-9 - The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.

        Moses prayed unto the LORD for the people and the Lord said, "Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole:  and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks upon it, shall live."  Moses obeyed, and every person that was bitten was given life when they looked at the brazen serpent.  Numbers 21:4-9.

     About 2,000 years later, Jesus spoke about himself as he said, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:  that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."  John 3:14-15.  A few years after the crucifixion of Jesus, Paul wrote, "For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be SIN for us ..." II Corinthians 5:21.

In another passage, Paul wrote that "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law (being death), being made a curse for us:  for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree." Galatians 3:13.

    Friend that is your answer. That is my answer. That is the church's answer. That is the world's answer. True holy Ghost revival is tied into this principle found in this narrative.  When the church starts looking again to the CROSS, we will see the outpouring of the Holy Ghost for these last days. Let that sink in. I want to say it again. When the church starts looking again to the CROSS, we will see the outpouring of the Holy Ghost for these last days. Until we do, the snakes are going to continue to bite us and people around us are going to die. The Holy Ghost does not come to glorify Himself nor His gifts. He comes to glorify the Risen Christ and works totally in conjunction with the power of the cross of Christ. He works in conjunction with the finished work Jesus secured for us on Calvary. He does not work through formulas nor man's efforts to save himself.

        I'm not against reading scripture or memorizing scripture but friend if you think memorizing 10 scriptures and repeating them over and over will set you free - you're wrong. That will never set you free. The BLOOD will set you free. THE TRUTH will set you free. Jesus IS the TRUTH, He does not just HAVE truth - HE IS TRUTH.

We Have All Been Snake Bitten

Romans 5:12.

Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin: so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

       There are three things we must never forget in this life:

    1. No one has done right before God.  Romans 3:10.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

    2. We all have fallen short of God's glory.   Romans 3:23.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
 

    3. The penalty for sin is death on the inside.

Romans 6:23.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus our Lord." 
 

        That is the gospel! That is the gospel! That is the gospel! That is the gospel! The gospel is not "come to Jesus and get rich." The gospel is not "come to Jesus and get a new Cadillac." The gospel is not come to Jesus and "all your troubles are going away." The gospel message is REPENT!! The gospel message is "LOOK TO THE CROSS AND LIVE YE SINNERS!" The gospel message is "man is a SINNER," not this syrup-based sickening message we hear today of how good man is and man is able to save himself. That is the sound we're hearing more and more from mainline churches across this land. That's why the snakes are biting us. That's why the snakes are biting us. And that's why our people are dying and being injected with Satan's poison. Man is NOT good. Man's goodness cannot save him. Man's pride is his downfall, not his strength. Our numbers in our churches will not be why God is pleased with us. God will be pleased with us if we preach the gospel and stand for the TRUTH of the word of God no matter the cost. Preach the gospel man of God. Preach the cross. Preach Jesus saves, Jesus heals, Jesus baptizes in the Holy Ghost and Jesus is coming again! Preach hell so hot that if a sinner comes in with sin in their life they will feel the very warmth of the flames before they leave. My God help us in this hour to come back to God before the snakes destroy us.

There Is Only One Antidote To SIN- CHRIST

    As I bring this journal to a close I want to say a few things that I believe are vitally important so hear me closely. When Jesus came offering Himself to the world He didn't come ever saying that He "had" salvation. He always came saying He "WAS" salvation. He told the religious of Israel that they searched the scriptures to find eternal life but they would not come to HIM so that they could have TRUE life. That is the rub and the noose around the modern day church. We are preaching a gospel that says Jesus has something to offer you instead of us preaching a gospel that says "It's JESUS or nothing." You hear me? There are not two, three, four, six, eight, ten answers to man's problem. There are no formulas for man's victory.

        Man must come and renounce his old life and be crucified with CHRIST upon the cross and allow the old man to DIE so that the new man in CHRIST JESUS will come forth and live as a "NEW CREATION IN JESUS." Hallelujah to the Lamb. That is what His blood paid for! Man's total deliverance from the powers of darkness. His blood can set you free today sir. His blood can set you free today ma'am. His blood can set you free today young man and young lady. His blood STILL SETS SINNERS FREE! He said, "I am the way, the truth, and THE LIFE, no man cometh unto the Father but by me."   John 14:6. He didn't say I "have the way," or "I have the truth," or "I have the life." NO NO NO NO NO, HE IS THE LIFE, HE IS THE WAY, and HE IS THE TRUTH. We must embrace HIM! We must die to ourselves and become one with HIM! We can no longer exist and He exist in us too. One of us must give up the right to live. Eternal life is for those who choose to give up THEIR LIVES and allow CHRIST to live inside them.

    Drug addict that is good news for you today. You can be free. Adulterer, that is good news for you today, you can be free! Young man, young lady strung out on cocaine and barbiturates - you can be free. Some of you reading this right now are bound with a spirit of suicide and have thought seriously about taking your life - listen to me friend, the Lord Jesus loves you and wants you to bring that depression to HIM and embrace HIM! He's not asking you to become a Baptist, or a Methodist or even Pentecostal. He wants you to become ONE WITH HIM! He wants to set you free so that you may truly LIVE again. He IS the antidote for the snake bite. You hear me. HE IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR THE SNAKE BITE!!

YOU MAY LOOK UPON JESUS AND LIVE BY SINCERELY PRAYING:

    1. I confess to you Jesus that I have sinned.

    2. I realize that the penalty for sin is death (on the inside).

    3. I believe that you, Jesus, died for all my sin and arose the third day.

    4. Therefore, I give my life to you, Jesus, trusting in what you did for me on the cross and now receive your eternal life.  Amen.
