Two Saviors and Two Crosses – Part Three The Anti-Semitic German Church Of 1938 Purim Message 2004 Purim is the celebration of the Jewish people’s salvation from the diabolical schemes of Haman. Had it not been for a faithful Esther and Mordecai, it is very likely Haman would have exterminated every Jewish person off the face of the earth. In Hitler’s day it was the German church that could have done the same but chose to follow down a path to a false saviour and a false cross. In these latter days as we draw nearer to the advent of the one Hitler foreshadowed – the Antichrist – it will once again come down to God’s people who will have to choose between two saviors and two crosses. It was the conflict in Nazi Germany in 1938 and it is very rapidly become the conflict of today’s modern church world.

<I do not look upon Jews as animals; they are further removed from animals than we are….them, since they do not belong to humanity at all.>
With those words did Adolph Hitler create new laws that would remove the Jews from their status as human beings. With his declaration Jewish people were beneath the animals, Heinrich Himmler, one of Hitler’s henchmen, got the green light to use his SS troops to exterminate them. The SS were then free to kill without breaking laws; they were free to exterminate millions without committing murder. There would be no trials for poisoning “vermin,” as many Germans called the Jewish people. “The land must be cleansed of filth so that it might be peopled with those who have ‘human blood flowing through their veins,’ said Hitler.
Just as modern-day abortionists use words such as “product on conception,” and argue on the time of conception to demean the value of life in relation to pre-born infants, so was the verbal assault upon Jewish people in Germany used to desensitize a nation and craftily manipulate the conscience of a church en route to mass genocide.
Because Germany had forsaken the true cross of Christ and embraced a false messiah, not only had it lost its way with God – but it had slipped off into deep rooted anti-Semitism and a hatred of the Jewish people that blinded it to the horrors around it. Hitler took what was evil and called it good and took what was without question good and called it evil. The church let him do that without question.
Isaiah 5:20-24 - Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! [21] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! [22] Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: [23] which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! [24] Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel’s
Hitler’s madness could very well be traced back to man named Richard Wagner, whose writings first fueled the Nazi’s demonic scheme. Wagner, who pushed the evolutionary theory of Charles Darwin with the blood myths of Eastern occultism, forged a doctrine that would give Hitler permission to vent his rage against the Jewish with a plan to exterminate them from the face of the earth.
Wagner, a rabid anti-Semite, was a man of staggering genius (at least in the eyes of German historians – he was not a genius in the counsels of heaven). He claimed to have had a revelation of Jesus Christ had been born of Aryan (German) stock. This was not the Jewish Christ of the New Covenant, but a Christ who shed Aryan blood and would lead Germany back to the greatness that was her right. Wagner called for the awakening of the German (Volk) people. It was Wagner who uttered the term “final solution,” long before Hitler ever brought it to his lips.
This false Christ became Germany’s second Messiah. John warned us about a number of antichrists in his day; Paul condemned those who preached “another Jesus,” and another gospel, declaring that such should be “cursed.”
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
2 Cor. 11:4 For if he that cometh preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Wagner was actually a worshipper of Satan under the guise of an Aryan Christ who passionately ‘hated’ the Jews in his view. Hitler made Wagner’s views his motif and passion for slaughtering six million of God’s precious chosen. But let us not forget that Hitler’s anti-Semitic view of the world was fueled by the church fathers of Germany - including Martin Luther. We will deal with the church’s actual role in Hitler’s rise to power in our final installment of this series but let me make it clear – Hitler’s anti-Semitic view played right in tune with the German church’s view of God’s chosen people as well. The church in Germany was a very ANTI-SEMITIC church.
Horrific stories face us from the ashes of those slaughtered (no other word to use here really) under the guise of “survival of the fittest” mentalities that drove the demented and deluded Third Reich. Photographs of history show us guards beating inmates while making them carry stones naked in winter weather. Then there are the rows of children’s shoes – a reminder of little ones tortured with demonic vengeance.
As we celebrate the Purim season, we must never forget one simple fact. The Jewish people are God’s chosen people. Despite their faults, Israel is the nation God chose through which to bless the world. Abraham was a Gentile when God came to him, told him to leave his family and said to him:
Genesis 12:1-3 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Deut. 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
God’s covenant with Abraham is shown to be unconditional; that is, it is wholly dependent on the faithfulness of God. In Genesis 15 the covenant is ratified when God along walks between the pieces of symmetrical flesh while Abraham sleeps. Thus God was “swearing by Himself,” that the terms of the agreement would be fulfilled. (Gen. 15:12-21). Jacob, a descendant of Abraham, had 12 sons, one of whom was Judah from whose name the word “JEW” was derived.
Gentile believers inherit the blessing only because of God’s graciousness; we are grafted into the “olive tree,” to use Paul’s analogy. Israel failed to accept God’s Messiah, so we Gentiles are the beneficiaries of God’s love and affection. But God isn’t finished with Israel. We believe that in the end He will still fulfill His covenant to them as a nation.
Many try to exploit the persecution of the Jewish people. In America, the radical homosexual community often perpetrates the story that homosexuals were among the victims of Hitler’s holocaust. Thus, those who are opposed to the imposition of gay rights in society are likened to Hitler who viciously persecuted his victims. President Bush has been labeled such many times because he opposes same-sex marriages. The link between the emotionally charged image of Hitler and those who would oppose special laws that favor homosexuals is an artificial one, but it is a common practice today that exploits the connection.
The extermination of the Jewish people was Hitler’s most cherished goal. But sadder than Hitler’s madness is the fact that his hatred of the Jewish race did not begin with him – it has been rooted in the Christian world for centuries prior. Often Christians are impatient with Jewish people because of their outright rejection of Christ. It is difficult for Gentiles to understand why many Jewish people dismiss Christ out of hand and are often (though not always) closed off to any serious discussion of Him as the Messiah. As Gentile believers, we often forget that Christ is thought of as an enemy of the Jewish people. Many Jewish people often pray “O God, turn out to be anybody but Jesus.”
Luther And The German Church
Wittenberg is the German town made famous by the fact it is the home of the reformer Martin Luther. It was here Luther nailed his 95 theses at the Castle Church. There within the church, he is buried just under the pulpit, about 15 feet from his friend Melanchton, one sees the sandstone relief of a pig, a sculpture perhaps three feet long and 18 inches high.
This pig is a “Judensau,” or Jewish sow, erected to spite the Jews and commemorate their expulsion from Wittenberg in 1395. The Hebrew inscription reads, “Rabine Schem Ha Mphoras,” which means, “Great is the one who is blessed.” This phrase was used by the Jewish people to refer to God since they believed that His name should not even be pronounced. Now these words sarcastically refer to them, contemptuously linking them to a pig, an animal regarded by them as being most unholy.
This incident is just one of many that have found its way into the hearts of the Church world today. Even though in 1988 an apology was issued to the Jewish people for what happened centuries ago, the stigma remains. A cross lies against a black background to commemorate the sad fact that millions of Jewish people have suffered under the very cross that was to be and is still today a symbol of FORGIVENESS and RECONICILIATION. A translation of the inscription reads:
“The true name of God The maligned, “Schem Ha Mphoras,” Which the Jews even before the dawn of Christianity Regard as most inexpressibly holy This name died within six million Jews Under the symbol of a cross.”
While the Lutheran church has made some effort to apologize for it’s leader’s past, the question must be asked, “why was Luther so passionately anti-Semitic?” Luther called the Jewish people “venomous,” “bitter worms,” and “disgusting vermin.” In 1543, near the end of his life, he wrote three tracts against the Jewish people. Throughout four centuries, his words have often been quoted by Jewish people as proof that Christ could not be their friend. Listen to Luther’s words:
“First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our Lord and Christendom….Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed….Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing, and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them. Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb. Fifth, I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jewish people. Sixth, I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them and put aside for safekeeping.”
The question has to be asked “how could such a man who seemed to have so much insight to God’s grace be so blind and ignorant of that same Grace when it pertained to the Lord’s chosen people?”
Hitler commended Luther as a great reformer who was worthy to be classed with Frederick the Great and Wagner. Hitler did not admire Luther because of Luther’s stance on the gospel and salvation through faith in Christ alone, rather he saw him as a man of courage who withstood the church and no doubt, one who hated the Jewish race.
Hitler’s cross was not Luther’s cross even though Luther had no sympathy or remorse for his anti-Jewish stance. Luther’s message of salvation by faith in Christ alone was never embraced by the church in Germany, yet that same church gladly embraced Hitler’s cross and hailed him as a “messiah.”
Inexcusable as his remarks are we must understand two things about them. One, they were based on a religious animosity, not a racial one. There is nothing in Luther’s writings about purity of blood, but rather purity of doctrine. Luther’s anger at the Jewish race was based more upon his assertion they rejected Christ than the fact he thought them racially impure.
Secondly, Luther lived during a time when religious freedom was a premium and trashing the Jewish people was en vogue. Jewish people were perceived by many church “fathers,” as the supreme heretics of all times. Heretics during Luther’s day were not just rejected in church discussion groups – they were burned at the stake. Justin Martyr, in his “Dialogue with Trypho,” says, “Jewish misfortunes were divine punishment and tribulations were justly imposed on (you) for (you) have murdered the Just One.”
Augustine accused the Jewish people of being guilty of Christ’s blood and as being “cursed by the Church.” John Chrysostom in 386-87 delivered eight messages degrading the Jewish religion and customs, “God always hated the Jews,” he preached. “It is incumbent on all Christians to hate the Jews.” In the Middle Ages Jews were murdered by the crusaders en route to the Holy Land. As a result, most Jewish non-believers feel that to accept Christ as the Messiah is not only to deny the Jewish religion, but to deny their heritage, their family, and their culture. To accept Christ according to most Jewish thinking today is to embrace an enemy.
We owe a debt to the Jewish people we can never repay. The Bible we hold in our hands is a Jewish book, for as Paul said, “they were entrusted with the oracles of God,” (Romans 3:2). And they have given to us a “saviour, their Messiah, who has washed us from our sins in His own blood.
But Luther’s writings were a spring board that many in Germany, even in the nation’s church used to fuel the fires of the Nazi machinery that ultimately murdered six million in the Holocaust. The persecution proposed by the state was no longer based on religious arguments but on racial ones. Theories about racial stratification and the blood were rife in Germany long before Hitler rose to power, but he is remembered as the one who used them in a vain attempt to found an empire. That’s what makes the church’s acceptance of him even more mind-boggling.
How could any church leader – be it in Germany in 1930 or today in America in 2004 – accept such a demented or demonic view of God’s chosen people?
The German’s Church Descent Into Madness
Another name came to the front of the German church’s thinking prior to Hitler’s rise to power named Houston Chamberlain. Chamberlain, the 27-year old nephew of Britain’s Prime Minister, Sir Neville Chamberlain, moved to Germany and became the son-in-law to Wagner, the hero of the myth of racial purity so many in Germany embraced.
Chamberlain wrote of Christ,
“Whoever claimed that Jesus was a Jew was either stupid or telling a lie….Jesus was not a Jew. He was an Aryan.” Christianity, he said, could only be appreciated by the Aryan race. And this race did not lose its superiority by natural law but could be further strengthened by proper bleeding.”
Many in the Germany national political movement AND religious movement embraced Chamberlain’s book with open arms. “It was God who sent your book to the German people and you personally to me,” said Kaiser Wilhelm II, one of German’s political leaders and influences upon the German church in the 1930s.
It was Chamberlain’s writings that further drove a wedge between the realities of the Jewish people being human. The German machinery under Hitler convinced the nation (and the church) that what they were doing to the Jewish people was ok because “the Jewish people are not human.” Hermann Goring, one of Hitler’s henchmen said, “They do not belong to the same species but only intimate humans…they are as far removed from us as animals are from humans.”
The Nazis convinced the nation that those beaten and starved to death in the concentration camps were not the victims, but the Nazi themselves were victims, needing to make great sacrifices for the cause of the “master” race, and the nation. Over and over Himmler and Goring referred to their work and the work of the SS men as “sacrifice.”
Listen to the madness of Himmler:
“To have stuck it out and at the same time to have remained decent fellows, that is what has made us hard. This is a page of glory in our history which has never been written and is never to be written.”
The brainwashing the troops received helps explains how the SS troops could perform monstrous acts of cruelty and yet return home for Christmas and attend church and still think of themselves as good Christians. They were not murderers, they were men building a race of supermen and helping the inferior people get on with their evolutionary journey, many thought. The question in this is simple: “Where were the pastors in Germany all of this time??” Where were the men of God denouncing such madness as such and declaring the wickedness and sinfulness of this?”
Sadly, they were no where to be found, which is the subject of this message series this Purim season of 2004. The Bible teaches us that we are redeemed by the blood of Christ, who died that we might be saved. The Old Covenant is clear that “without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.” When we pause to think about it, can see that German-Aryan mysticism of racial purity was a demonic counterpart to this teaching. It was a “false cross,” that Hitler imposed on Germany that sadly too many in the church embraced. The Jewish people were being offered as sacrifices to the Aryan gods. The Christian cross demanded the blood of Christ; the swastika demanded the blood of the Jewish nation.
Germany’s False Cross Laid on the Jewish Nation
Hitler’s ‘final solution,’ was not final. God preserved a remnant of the Jewish people, established Israel as a state, and today is calling many Jewish people to faith today in Christ. In the end, He shall prove that not one word spoken through the prophets will be neglected. His chosen ones will yet flourish. But another holocaust lies ahead. Another PURIM is about to be reenacted.
What sinister motives lay behind Hitler’s fanatical hatred of the Jewish people? In Revelation 12, the mystery of why the Jewish people suffered so much becomes plain. The nation is symbolically represented as a persecuted woman who encounters a dragon. When she is with child, the dragon stands to kill her offspring. Here the hatred against the Jewish people is unmasked for what it is: It is the direct work of Satan, who wants to exterminate the Jewish people so that God will be found a liar, unable to fulfill His promises.
Behind the hatred of ancient King Herod, behind those Christian leaders whose anger was a stumbling block to the Jewish nation and behind Hitler’s “final solution,” is the direct activity of Satan, who is represented in this passage as “the dragon.” The story skips to the middle of the coming Tribulation period when the dragon makes one more attempt at this “final solution.” He seeks to entrap the woman, but she is given the wings of an eagle that she might fly away; the dragon comes after her with a flood of hatred and warfare in an attempt to kill her once and for all.
Rev. 12:15-17 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. [16] And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Notice that God again will do in the future what He did during Hitler’s Holocaust and Haman’s purge in Persia. He preserves the woman (the nation) even when it looks as if she will be swallowed up in a river of anti-Semitism. God prepares a place for her; she is preserved, because there are still some promises to the Jewish nation that have to be fulfilled. God lets the dragon go just so far; so far, in fact, that the nation loses hope. But in the end, God is still there.
Many Israelites will more than likely again question the faithfulness of God during the period of coming Tribulation. The nation will despair, unaware that a final deliverance from the dragon is just around the corner. Those Jewish people who believe on Christ will overcome the dragon “because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even unto death.” (Rev. 12:11). The final holocaust will come to an end.
Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death..
God prepares a place for her; she is preserved, because there are still some promises to the Jewish nation that have to be fulfilled. God lets the dragon go just so far; so far, in fact, that the nation loses hope. But in the end, God is still there. Just when the nations of the earth have surrounded Jerusalem and appear to be on the verge of exterminating the city and its people, all eyes shift to the Mount of Olives. Christ personally arrives to defend His people and the city of Jerusalem:
Zech. 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
At that time, Israel as a nation will recognize Christ to be her Messiah. Again, Zechariah predicts that the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon them:
Zech. 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Just as Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, so Christ will reveal Himself to His kinsman, the Jewish race. The weeping will be both of sadness and of joy: sadness that it took so long for the reconciliation to take place; joy for the fact that the longing of the Jewish people is finally fulfilled for the Messiah has arrived.
Romans 11:26-27 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: [27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Virtually every nation living at the time of Christ’s return will be spared physically and saved spiritually. God’s son –YESHUA - JESUS CHRIST – sets up His millennial kingdom where Jewish and non-Jewish people are equally received and welcomed.
Isaiah 2:3-4 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
In Closing- Where Was The Church?
Many Jewish people are atheists because of the Holocaust. If there was a God, they reason, He could not have stood by without stopping the brutal injustice. Unfortunately, the church did not, for the most part, come to the aid of those who were ostracized or sent to the death camps. In fact, some joined in the persecutions.
Some justified their actions, contending that the Jewish people suffered because they called for Christ’s blood after they rejected Him as the Messiah. The Jewish people were only one part of the puzzle when it comes to identifying those who crucified Christ. WE ALL PLAYED A PART IN HIS DEATH. Each drop of blood He shed was for every sin we ever committed. Every false word, every lustful thought or action, every deliberate sin, every time we fail to love and forgive, we show the reason He died.
John 10:17-18 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. [18] No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
The Jewish people did NOT have to suffer the Holocaust because a past generation (mostly religious leaders, not the entire nation) rejected Him. Though the Jewish people squandered their high calling and anointing, SO HAVE THE GENTILE CHURCH WORLD AS WELL! At the end of the day, we are ALL sinners in need of a Saviour who “gave Himself for us,” that we might be redeemed.
The Jewish people were judged in the Holocaust but so was Nazi Germany, which exalted a man in the place of God, and so was the CHURCH that gave the world the REFORMATION, then sank into the abyss of human aggrandizement. The church humanized God and deified man. Not a good combination. The church simply failed to be the church in Germany.
The following is a letter from a former pastor in Nazi Germany during the years of Hitler’s terror:
“I lived in Germany during the Nazi Holocaust. I considered myself a Christian. We heard stories of what were happening to the Jewish people, but we tried to distance ourselves from it, because, what could anyone do to stop it? A railroad track ran behind our small church and each Sunday morning we could hear the whistle in the distance and then the wheels coming over the tracks. We became disturbed when we heard the cries coming from the train as it passed by. We realized that is was carrying Jewish people like cattle in the cars! Week after week the whistle would blow. We dreaded to hear the sound of those wheels because we knew that we would hear the cries of the Jewish people en route to a death camp. Their screams tormented us. We knew the time the train was coming and when we heard the whistle blow we began singing hymns. By the time the train came past our church we were singing at the top of our voices. IF we heard the screams, we sang more loudly and soon we heard them no more. Years have passed and no one talks about it anymore. But I still hear that train whistle in my sleep. God forgive me; forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians yet did nothing to intervene.”
That story speaks to the weakness of the church in Germany but it speaks to us also today in modern times. Do we hear the train here in America – the cries of the pre-born children in our abortion clinics, the abused child across the street, or the minorities who are daily discriminated against the normal course of their existence? Or does our busy service for Christ drown out these muffled cries?
Only a FEW German Christians saw the Jewish people as their brothers and sisters, and only a few saw them as Christ’s chosen race; Only a few stood against the devils of hell unleashed by a satanic leader. A delegate to the 1950 Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany declared, “In every train which carried Jewish people to their death camps in the East, at least one Christian should have been a voluntary passenger.” Those who preserved their lives lost their honor and possibly MORE. And in the end God used persecution to force His people to clarify their mission and purpose. There were reasons why the church was paralyzed, unable to find strength to act.
The conflict was never between the church and Hitler as much as it was between the church and itself. The church’s embrace of a false gospel producing a false cross that pointed to a false messiah led the church of Germany down a path to hell. God would not allow His Son to be worshipped by those who would wrap His cross in a swastika. There is only one CROSS and it’s the cross of CHRIST – the only hope for fallen man.
1 Cor. 1:17-18 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
As we celebrate Purim in 2004, neighbor hear me – we are at similar cross roads in the Western church as well. We have embraced a false cross today as well in the Western Church that has no power. I can tell you unequivocally that the American cross is a cross that demands NOTHING of a sinful generation. That is not the cross of Christ and it’s a cross that will cause the church to be deceived into receiving a false messiah.
As I close this journal out let me share something with you my brother shared in December during our 2003 One New Man Conference. Hitler’s rise to power caught the German church by such surprise because 10 years before he was not even on the radar screen. At that time the German church was frolicking and doing everything other than what the church was called to do – pray and seek God. It was a seeker-friendly union with the world and a nation that basically rejected the Holy Ghost. No one worshipping in a German church in 1922 could comprehend that 20 years later the world as they knew it would be destroyed by a madman. This mad man would unleash unspeakable EVIL upon not only Germany but the entire world.
In 2004, do we not recognize that there is another leader on the horizon that, even though we cannot see him on the radar yet, is coming that will unleash, once again, unspeakable evil upon the world? This evil will be in many ways the same type evil Haman and Hitler unleashed upon the Jewish race centuries before? Are we not in the same state today as the German church was in 1922? Preaching a gospel without a true cross to back it up and pointing people to false Jesus who we paint as nothing more than a glorified bell hop for the great Santa Claus in the sky? Friend, it’s getting late. We had better come to grips with the fact that there are two crosses being preached today and two saviors being sought after today just as there was in Germany nearly 100 years ago.
We will look more closely at the how the church was deceived in part four of this series.
Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, help us today to embrace the REAL cross of our faith – the cross of Christ. Let no flesh glory in Your presence. Cause us to discern what is false and true in these last days when the Spirit warns us many will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Lord, keep your Church bathed in the TRUTH of Your word and allow the Spirit to guide us into more revelation of JESUS and nothing else. In Your name we pray, Amen.
