A False Savior And A False Cross, Part Two

Purim is the celebration of the Jewish people’s salvation from the diabolical schemes of Haman. Had it not been for a faithful Esther and Mordecai, it is very likely Haman would have exterminated every Jewish person off the face of the earth. In Hitler’s day it was the German church that could have done the same but chose to follow down a path to a false savior and a false cross. In these latter days as we draw nearer to the advent of the one Hitler foreshadowed – the Antichrist – it will once again come down to God’s people who will have to choose between two saviors and two crosses. It was the conflict in Nazi Germany in 1938 and it is very rapidly become the conflict of today’s modern church world.

            There are several reasons Hitler has often been seen as the prototype of the Antichrist. The Bible predicts that a world ruler will arise in Europe and the Middle East who will promise peace while preparing for war. He will mesmerize the world, demanding the worship of the masses in exchange for the right to buy bread. He, like Hitler, will be indwelt by demonic forces, most likely by Satan himself. The Antichrist is Satan’s last act on this Earth and it’s hard to believe he will not be in charge of events. Also like Hitler, the Antichrist will ride in on the whore of organized religion and the credibility of the false prophet. False religion has always played a role in the rise of evil and in the end times things will be no different.

1 Tim. 4:1-4

    Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

            Rising at a time of great depression probably and a failing economy, the Antichrist will win the world to his side. Crying for bread AND peace, a desperate world will surrender its personal rights in return for what will eventually be empty promises. He will be first admired, then feared, then worshipped throughout the whole world. Hitler rose to power the same way.

            Antichrist will achieve what Hitler only dreamed about. His power to do miracles will be so great that the whole world will marvel as one of his heads appears “as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed.”

This may be, according to some Bible scholars, an attempt by Satan to mimic the resurrection of Christ. And it will work because we read that “the whole world was amazed and followed after the beast.”

Rev. 13:3

    And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Rev. 13:8

    And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

            Hitler received the worship of millions within ONE country of the world. Antichrist will receive the worship of billions in EVERY country of the world. Even remote tribes, obsolete countries whose names we cannot pronounce, will worship him en masse. Hitler used false promises of a better economy to get the German people on his side, the Antichrist too, will use the economy as a weapon to destroy millions. Your choice will be clear during the Tribulation – take the Antichrist’s mark or not eat.

Rev. 13:16-17

    And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

            He will be shrewd enough to understand what Hitler knew so well. People have to eat in order to live. And the words of Satan regarding JOB will prove to be true.

Job 2:4

    And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

            So an apparatus will be set up to make sure that everyone on earth, willingly or unwillingly, bows before Antichrist. Though Satan will get what he wants, there is a cloud on the horizon. He knows – just as we do – that his time is short and his coming torment so much greater. Every time he wins, he actually loses, for God has the final say. The charade will one day be over, and Satan will be exposed for who he really is – a LOSER – A LOSER for all eternity.

            The description of the judgment of Hitler, Antichrist, and all who refuse to follow God and accept His terms of redemption through the cross of Christ is described in Revelation 20:10:

Rev. 20:10

    And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

            The question is asked I’m sure of some – “where is Hitler today?” I can guarantee you this, my friend. Even though he committed suicide and his body was badly burned in a Berlin bunker in April 1945, he is conscious today because his soul still lives. His memory is clearer than it was at a noonday rally in Nuremberg. His emotions are fully aware; he feels the torment of his evil deeds. His will however, remains unbowed his resolve to oppose God is firm. There is a hell friend. There IS an eternity. Every one of you reading this, along with myself, will be alive one million years from this moment in time. One BILLION years from this moment we will be alive. One TRILLION years from this moment we will still live. Man has an eternal SOUL and the choices we make today affected eternal destinies.

Matthew 5:29 – 30 - And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. [30] And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

            The life we live today is but a dress rehearsal for eternity. When we die, we cannot come back and do things again. If we deny and reject Christ NOW, we can’t repair that in eternity. If the church loses a generation because we fail to preach the gospel, we can’t come back to this generation and apologize. We can’t CRY in eternity for the lost souls around us today. We can’t repair our prayer lives in eternity and apologize for the generation we are accountable for because we failed to pray and intercede for them. David said those in the grave DO NOT PRAISE THE LORD! They can’t! There is no sanctifying power in death. In other words, if you are lost on this side of the grave, friend there is not a magic wand on the other side that is going to transform you into sainthood.

            Jesus said that it would be better for a man to lose an eye and go into hell with one eye than to have both and be cast into the eternal flame. He said if our arm offends us – CUT IT OFF – because eternity is so long that life without God in hell would be better with ONE arm than two – it’s that SERIOUS friend.

            The day will come when Hitler will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire along with the dragon, the beast and false prophet. All demonic religion will have been shown to be false, deceptive and weak. And every tongue will confess that CHRIST is LORD to the glory of God the Father. God will have proven without a doubt that man cannot save him NOR rule himself. He will also prove without a doubt that ALL rebellion and attempts to take the scepter from the Almighty were futile and foolish.

The German Church’s Failure and Ours Today

Psalm 11:3 - If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

            It has been concluded from looking at church history that the church in Germany appeared to be too preoccupied with the problems of the nation to see what was happening before its eyes. The religion of blood and soil had replaced the religion of humility and prayer. Though burdened with unemployment and the physical hardship of its dejected people – the church – for the most part – still refused to repent and turn wholly to GOD!

            Popular German culture, with its myths about race and occultism, thrived in place of sound Biblical teaching and prayer. The church overlooked the fact that the fight against Nazism was essentially not political but spiritual. The church mistook the temporal benefits of the swastika for the spiritual benefits for the cross of Christ. Wanting to believe that Hitler was the answer, it forgot what the really important questions were. The modern church world has done the same in our fight for the souls of men. We have become more involved in the political machinery of Washington that in the counsels of heaven.

            Paul warned the elders at Ephesus:

Acts 20:28-29

    Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. [29] For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

            Wolves had entered the German flocks. The church stood poised between TWO CROSSES and TWO SAVIORS. Wanting to be loyal to both, the church learned unfortunately too late that neither cross could tolerate the other. The church made PEACE with the enemy with which it should have been at war. Called to warn and protect, it tolerated, then saluted, then submitted.

            In the name of political correctness today, the church in America has become just like the church in Germany. We have become tolerant of sin and saluted those who blaspheme God. Before long we will find ourselves submitting to the forces of evil instead of seeing the forces of evil submit to us. WE ARE THE HEAD AND NOT THE TAIL. Satan is required to obey GOD, not God obey Satan. But without a gospel that challenges a society the church will find itself in submission to the enemy. We are at that cross roads today.

 Preachers have become silent on issues of moral relevance. Abortion is no longer sin – it’s a choice. Homosexuality is no longer sin – it’s a lifestyle. Gay “rights” are more important than the righteousness and clear commandments of God in His word about the issues of morality in a nation. Call me intolerant and call me narrow minded but man’s problem is SIN. America’s problem is SIN. The church’s problem is Sin. There is only one power that can destroy the powers of darkness and sin and that the power of the blood of Christ. The blood of Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost are the ONLY hope for the homosexual. The blood of JESUS can set the captive free. The homosexual does not need RIGHTS – he needs deliverance! The lesbian couple looking for civil union needs a SPIRITUAL UNION with CHRIST and be set free from the demonic bondage and blindness they find themselves in.

Luke 4:18-19

    The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

I am not throwing stones at any one bound with sin. We have NO right to throw a stone at any man, woman boy or girl. We too were sinners before Christ found and delivered us. If not for His grace we would find ourselves in the same depravity as the world’s worst law breaker and/or sinner. But there is a plain truth in God’s word that the church must return to preaching. SIN IS SIN. You can’t whitewash it. You can’t water it down. You can’t negotiate with it. You can’t appease it.

You can’t shake hands with it. You can’t invite it to your party and make it comfortable. You can’t condone it and you can’t make peace with it. SIN WILL DESTROY YOU FRIEND. I don’t care whether you’re a Christian OR an unbeliever. Sin will send you to hell. Unrepented sin will cause you to miss eternity with God. It will damn your soul to the flames of eternal torment. I don’t wince at that, nor blink an eye in saying it.

Ezekiel 3:17 -Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 33:10-17 - Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? [11] Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? [12] Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. [13] When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. [14] Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; [15] If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. [16] None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live. [17] Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. [18] When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. [19] But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby. [20] Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

A well-known former talk show host, who is also a self-declared lesbian, went to San Francisco a few days before the writing of this journal and got married to her same sex partner. The reason she stated she did was in protest to President Bush’s declaration he was behind a constitutional ban on same-sex marriages. She called the President’s comments, “the most vile and hateful remarks by a sitting President she has ever heard.”

This talk show host’s arrogance and hard words will one day be turned to tears. If she does not repent and get deliverance (which is available through Christ and His blood) She will hear words one day, not from President Bush, but from the King of Kings and LORD and LORDS that will cause all to kneel and bow before Him and declare “JESUS IS LORD!”

There are no stones in my hand as I say those words. WE ALL stand accountable for our lives in light of HIS GRACE and GLORY.  This is not just about homosexuals. It’s about whoremongers, liars, thieves, gossipers, slanderers, those with sinful anger, murderers, abortionists, abominable, ALL who practice sin without repenting.

Rev. 21:7-9 - He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Rev. 21:27 - And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, nor makes a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Rev. 22:11-15 - He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. [14] Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. [15] For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and maketh a lie.

Heinrich Heine was right. When the cross of Christ was broken, evil burst forth in all of its fury in Germany. No one felt the onslaught more than the Jewish people, who were targeted by Hitler’s “final solution.” Regrettably, the church failed the Jewish people simply because it did not live up to its high calling. The church’s HIGH calling is PRAYER. Not politics; not building buildings; not building ministries; not forming new doctrine – BUT PRAYER.

Antichrist will have his extermination program too; but CHRIST – the consummate Jewish MAN – the LION of the TRIBE OF JUDAH, will not let HIS people be wiped out. Christ’s CROSS will, in the end, destroy ANY OTHER. And that friend is where the church finds itself today – between two crosses and two saviors just as Germany did so long ago.

Hitler’s Rise to Power – Germany’s Second Messiah

            Secular historians have admitted Hitler cannot be explained merely as a shrewd politician who appeared in Germany at a time when a nation was ripe for a dictatorship. His personal magnetism has had the most intellectual of historians scratching their heads for answers as to how one man led such an educated nation down the path of hell he did.

            It is common knowledge Hitler had tremendous influence from the occult which help root his powers in the demonic. The religion Hitler birthed in Germany will be in many ways the religion of the coming Antichrist. It is a religion of UNITY, power, hope and miracles. Antichrist, however, will make Hitler look as if he played in the minor leagues.

            Privately Hitler prepared for war but he gave speeches about his desire for peace. Yet he arose in Germany at a time when the nation was a democracy. He attained his power legitimately, if unfairly. The nation was waiting for him, but more important and sadly, the church was waiting for him. Both the church and nation of Germany at the time was eager to accept a demagogue who appeared to have the talent needed to lead Germany out of her abyss. The people of Germany including those in the church yearned for a leader who would do for them what democracy could not.

            Hitler came promising so many things and his report card full of astounding achievements that many Christians saw him as an answer to their prayers. Some Christians (and this is documented fact) took down the picture of Christ in their homes and replaced it with Hitler. Here is a partial list of what Hitler accomplished en route to power:

1. He revived a collapsed economy in five years.
2. He erased the shame of Germany’s defeat in World War I by reclaiming the Rhineland and discarding the unfair Treaty of Versailles.
3. He gave millions of Germans attractive vacations through his Kraft durch Ferude (“Strength through joy”) program.
4. He established training schools for those who were unskilled and brought the nation to full employment.
5. He brought crime under control.
6. He built freeways and promised the production of a car that ordinary Germans would soon be able to afford.
7. He gave Germans a reason to believe in themselves, to believe that they could become great again.

The real issue in all of this is the subject of this journal series and that is “where was the German church” who were called by GOD to be the VOICE of warning to the nation against such a wicked evil man. Was all of Hitler’s GOOD so great that it blinded them to his evil????? The answer is YES and it’s an ominous foreshadowing of things to come with the future man of sin. Because Germany and its religious had a shallow view of redemption and practiced what I call "cheap grace," it was easy for Hitler to ride in on a proverbial white horse and deceive millions.

Why did the German people, and more particularly the church, not part ways with Hitler once his real agenda became known? We can understand the initial deception, but why so many hundreds of thousands of Germans directly or indirectly participate in the atrocities that became so much a part of the Nazi agenda? These multiplied thousands of otherwise normal Germans boycotted Jewish businesses, participated in mock trials, and brutally controlled the prison camps. In short, Hitler had helpers, MILLIONS of helpers, including many so-called Christians.

When people are desperate the human heart is laid bare and in the case of Germany it was in these times. Raw humanity is not very pretty. Evil held in check often erupts when the conditions are right. We are naïve to think that Nazi Germany cannot happen again. In fact the Bible predicts it will.

 Whenever the church finds itself in a similar place as the church in Germany did one of two things will happen. The church will change its message to accommodate the state’s political agenda, or the political rulers will use the church to their own ends. Regardless, the purity and power of the church is compromised.

Constantine started the unholy unity of church and state. He had the cross of Christ emblazoned on the shields of his soldiers; in the 20^th century, the Nazis wrapped the cross in the swastika, making the cross a further weapon to further Hitler’s agenda. Hitler’s efforts to unify church and state were a farce to destroy all vestiges of Christianity in Germany. Hitler replaced the doctrine of God with the doctrine of man. As a result God “died” in Germany and a nation was turned over to a madman.

What was the reason for this? A church that lost its way with God and was deceived into preaching a false gospel with no power. Paul said the "preaching of the Cross is the POWER OF GOD!" The power of God comes to us through the person of the Holy Ghost today. But the Holy Spirit's work comes ONLY through the parameters of Christ's finished work on Calvary.

Some German theologians openly stated that the miracles of the New Covenant should be forgotten and the attention of the masses fixed on the miracle of the rise of Germany to its place of leadership in the world. Little wonder that they were willing to hide the cross of Christ within the swastika.

German preachers humanized God and deified man – it was that simple. By exalting man in their doctrines, the German church was opening the door to unrestrained evil in the form of Adolph Hitler. It is not a historical accident that Buchenwald, one of the Nazi concentration camps was only six miles from Weimar, the seat of most of the “religious” enlightenment that shook Germany in the years leading up to Hitler’s election.

“The ovens of Auschwitz and Buchenwald were prepared in the lecture halls of Europe,” said one German commentator who saw the evil coming and spoke against it. Those ovens were also fueled by a church whose message was no longer that God is ALL IN ALL and man is subject to God, but a church that changed the gospel message to elevate man and declared God to be irrelevant.

In reality, the Third Reich reinterpreted the cross of Christ to advance a pagan agenda. The sad footnote to that though is the German church gave the marching orders and sanctified the Reich’s work with its false doctrine.  The apparent silence of the church to Hitler’s evil is a warning to us who live in an age when the same ideas that flourished in Germany prior to Hitler’s rise, now flourish in America, just in a different form.

The Religion of the Third Reich

Hitler took the cross of Christ with its emphasis on love and forgiveness and exchanged it for a broken cross that had the power to make Germany great again. For some, even in the church, it was easier to obey a tyrant, than to accept the dangers of freedom. Workers now had job security, a health service, cheap holiday schemes, and renewed patriotism. If freedom meant starvation, then slavery was preferable. The man whom Germans waited for had arrived.

As long as the economy was strong, people didn’t care whether they had freedom of speech, freedom of travel, or freedom of elections. Under the Republic of Germany people were starving in the big cities; bread on the table was more important than a ballot or a voting booth. In Germany they elected a demonized maniac based on the economy of the nation instead of the conscience and conviction of the CHURCH. Hear what I say to you. America is headed dangerously close down the same path.

You’d think that after 9-11-2001 we’d gotten the message that God is wanting more from us than just our wallets. God wants a nation that will once again PRAY to Him and seek HIS face for our future. Unfortunately, the enemy has deceived more and more souls each day. The nation is now divided. The liberal media and many Democratic voices blame our President for that but the REAL source is the DEVIL. He is the ultimate sower of discord.

  The first teaching of the Germany church during Hitler’s rise was personal transformation. Personal improvement and fulfillment became the church of Germany’s biggest pursuit.

            Hitler used this rampant teaching in German churches to spearhead his speeches about his important role in Germany’s future. Powerful deceivers can deceive others who then come under varying degrees of demonic control. Given Germany’s spiritual vacuum, the nation was more than eager to be deceived. The church already was. Antichrist will of course also come to the church world of the age he arrives in with the same message of personal “transformation.” He will be put in touch with nonhuman intelligences, those special powers that will equip him to rule the world. Who his mentors will be, we do not know. But we do know that he will be put through a disciplined, rigorous demonization process. His power fill not come from himself but from invisible spiritual forces.

Daniel 8:24

    And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

            Many self-righteous people in America – and many voices in the American church – that pride themselves in condemning Nazism – actual embrace the same doctrines that made Nazism the powerful force it became in the world. The New Age movement in ancient occultism which is nothing more than Nazism with an American face. Much of the modern church world’s teaching on faith today is nothing more than “new age” humanism. It’s a message that says man’s ills are not because man is a sinner and in need of spiritual help. It says man’s ills is because man has not tapped into his full potential and is need of a “higher” consciousness and/or self-esteem.

            Man’s problem is not self-esteem. Man’s problem is he is a sinner and in need of a Saviour. Man does not need a psychologist – he needs a deliverer. Man does not need Christian entertainment – he needs repentance. Man does not need a 12-step program to be free from sin – he needs the BLOOD of the Lamb that sets the captives free and keeps the powers of darkness at bay.

            Satan is a master deceiver. If you are seeking peace and not Christ, he will give you peace. If you are in need of advice, he will do his best to predict the future and give you secret in formation through the stars or a fortune-teller. If you are in need of self-confidence or even a miracle, he will try to do that too. In Hitler’s case he needed power to rule, and Satan made that available.

            Demons masquerade as angels of light, seeking to deceive as many as they can. Of course, they are “masters,” or nonhuman intelligences, waiting for an opportunity to get in touch with human beings. To bring about such a transformation of consciousness is exactly what the enemy desires.

            Because a backslidden church stopped warning a backslidden nation – Hitler was able to weld this demonic power and deceive MILLIONS. Jesus warned us that the man of sin would have the same power and if possible, “deceive the very elect.” That’s the nature of the day we live in – deception. The gospel preached today sounds good, looks good, people shout glory to it, applaud it – but it’s a false gospel pointing to a false Christ hanging on a false cross and promising false victory. Man MUST REPENT. MAN MUST BE CHANGED by the power of the gospel or it is NOT the gospel. The gospel changes people but it changes people through the death of the sin nature. The gospel does not REFORM man it KILLS the old man.

The Essential Deity Of Man

            The second doctrine the German church pushed prior to the rise of Hitler was the deity of man. Ever since Adam and Eve believed Satan’s promise – that if they ate the fruit of the forbidden tree, they would be like God, knowing good and evil-humans have tried to set up a rival kingdom. To be like God is an awesome through. Man is intelligent enough to know that he is not the creator, so mankind says, “Yes, I am God, but so is nature; in fact everything is God and God is everything.”

            Hitler confided to those who were closer to him that he was under orders from higher beings in his unique mission. “I will tell you a secret,” he told Raushning, “I am founding an order….the Man-God, that splendid being will be an object of worship….But there are other stages about which I am not permitted to speak.” Hitler declared “Creation is not yet at an end. Man is becoming God…and Man is God in the making.”

            Joseph Goebbels, his propaganda minister, reveals the hypnotic effect Hitler exerted on him when they first met: “He is the creative instrument of fate and deity. I stand by him deeply shaken…recognize him as my leader…He is so deep and mystical, like a prophet of old. With such a man can conquer the world…My doubts vanish…Germany will live..Heil Hitler!”

            Goebbels words only underscored the hearts of the German church. Hitler’s rise to power was met with little resistance from those who should have screamed the most.

            Antichrist’s goal, like that of Hitler, will be to be worshipped. At the beginning of the Tribulation period, he will make a covenant with Israel apparently guaranteeing the peaceful existence of that small but significant country. But after three and one half years, he will have enough confidence to go to Jerusalem and break his treaty. He will enter the temple (which will have been rebuilt by that time), desecrate it, and declare himself to be God. Paul describes him as one “who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object or worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.”

2 Thes. 2:4

Who opposes and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

            Most people laugh at the gurus who tell us today that we are all gods and that we need to simply realize our potential. But the godhood of man, which has always been believed in the east in various forms, is not being accepted in the west too. Just as Germany’s church accepted Hitler because of rampant occultism, so our nation is being prepared today – through the preaching of the modern church world – for a leader who claims to be god. After all, if we are all little gods and in control of our own lives and destinies, why cannot a charismatic ruler be called the bigger God, the personification of deity?

            Hitler’s view of religious deception was very interesting. He said that big lie is more easily believed than a small one. If so, the biggest lie is that a man can be of God. This new religion will claim to be able to encompass all the others and will combine science and religion. God will be described as an impersonal “force,” or “energy.” This concept of God will allow for many gods, just as long as Satan orchestrates them all. Eventually we can expect a new theology to arise that will not even attempt to refute Christian doctrine but will simply ignore it.

            When you hear a doctrine that has at its root “I believe we are all gods,” neighbor you are hearing the words of the serpent in the Garden of Eden.

Globalism/Unity

            Would it shock you to know that it was a message UNITY that propelled Hitler into power? While the stock market crash of 1929, which triggered economic hardship in Germany, was the catalyst; but without the rage of world conquest burning in his breast, the Third Reich would never have happened. He believed that he would begin a one-thousand year Reich, or empire, that would eventually span the globe. Since men such as Karl Haushofer accepted the myth that the Germans (Aryans) belonged to a superior race; the nation had every right to extend its empire to dominate the world.

            Hitler ignited a spark of optimism to a beleaguered nation. Millions (even in the church) were caught up with a grand idea of a leader with a plan to bring Germany out of its days of humiliation to a day of pride and strength. Even the skeptical preferred to suppress their doubts. As one observer who lived in this era said, “Though I couldn’t’ accept Hitler and KNEW he was crazy, I wished in my heart that I could be part of his movement.”

            I wander how many in the church today who, when they hear the message of the coming Antichrist, will think the same thing. They will KNOW this man is evil and demonic yet in the midst of world chaos they will fail to recognize the times and embrace the false unity the Antichrist will promise. Globalism has always been the long-term goal of false religion. Terms like “the global community,” “one-world government,” “common world goals and purposes,” are already being thrown around in political circles in America.

            Those terms will become more and more pronounced as we near the advent of Antichrist. Organizations such as the Parliament of the World’s Religions believe that things like world hunger, war, and injustice are so staggering that only a unified religion and government can solve the problems. A global ethic was adopted, in which the word GOD does not appear but the word EARTH. Globalists are always environmental NUTS (coughing, AL GORE, AL GORE)

            When people are desperate they always seek to unite under the banner of men instead of the banner under God. Whether in Nazi Germany or in our own day, the Cross is pushed aside in deference to some other flag. To dominate the world is an ambition that does not die easily within the human breast. And that is the horror of the condition we find ourselves in today friend. We cannot save this society with our programs, it's going to take the power of the Cross of Christ.

        The next journal in this series will take a look at another aspect of the church of Germany - anti-semitism. The roots of anti-semtism that exploded in Germany were found not in the local taverns in Berlin, but the stain glass walls of the cathedrals in Munich. That is something that is slowly happening again today as well. Let's pray:
