An Echo Of Warning From A Church Deceived

The modern church of America mirrors the church of 1920 Germany. That is a sobering thought and the foundation for this journal concerning the prophetic future of both our nation and the body of Christ. I feel in my heart today that the American church teeters on such a horrible season of persecution that words beggar description. Yet, all preaching today predicts a great season of utopia for the American church filled with monetary wealth, riches, prestige, power. It is an eerie parallel to the 1920s’ Church of Germany that lost its way with God and created such a spiritual vacuum in the nation that Adolph Hitler was able to come to power without much resistance. In fact, it was the CHURCH who promoted Hitler as the great “savior” of all Germany. There is another Hitler yet unseen but coming on the world seen soon in the form of the Antichrist. Without a doubt there will be an apostate church on earth more than willing to receive him as the world's saviour just as Germany did Hitler so long ago. This message is a warning to the TRUE CHURCH to continue to follow Christ and not be swayed by the vain traditions and empty philosophy of an apostate church preaching an apostate gospel pointing to a false Jesus. History can be a great teacher if we will hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.

        The modern church of America mirrors the church of 1920 Germany. That is a sobering thought and the foundation for this journal concerning the prophetic future of both our nation and the body of Christ. As of the writing of this journal, Pope John Paul II has died and his predecessor has been named. The new pope, Pope Benedict XVI has basically said he will follow the same path of issues John Paul did while in office.

        Pope John Paul II led the Catholic Church for 26 years, the longest tenure of any pope in the past. Catholicism has many false doctrines that draw millions into a religion of works and false belief in confessions to priests, purgatory and the worship of Mary. I have had a hard time reconciling the great works of John Paul on a world-wide scale such as helping stand up to the powers of Communism and the strong stance he took against the abuses of priests and other clergy in the movement. John Paul survived an assassination attempt in 1981 along with battling many other health problems through the latter years of his life. The man himself I’m sure was a good decent human being who deserves honor in that sense as any decent human being would.

        My issues with the former Pope, and even the current one, are not personal; neither are my issues with the Catholic Church. I know of many born-again Catholics, some who are even spirit-filled with the evidence of speaking with other tongues, who love Jesus with all their hearts. Many of these Catholics have a deeper devotion to our Lord than many Protestants who smugly and self-righteously feel they are more spiritual. Let me tell you this. IN ALL MOVEMENTS, no matter whether they are Catholic or Protestant, there are true born again believers and there are false pretenders who have their faith anchored in a false Christ. We Protestants need be careful how we judge the Catholic Church. We are just as guilty of idolatry, harlotry and false doctrine as they. To be frank the almighty dollar is worshipped more in Charismatic circles than ANY thing the Catholic Church promotes in the worship of Mary.

        It seems that any doctrine out there today that doesn’t include the words “seed-sowing,” (which is scriptural), “prosperity,” (which is scriptural), and “purpose,” then we think the person preaching these doctrines is “behind the times.”

It is an eerie parallel to the 1920s’ Church of Germany that lost its way with God and created such a spiritual vacuum in the nation that Adolph Hitler was able to come to power without much resistance. In fact, it was the CHURCH who promoted Hitler as the great “savior” of all Germany.

        A little known fact behind Germany’s descent into madness began in 1927 when the league of the nation’s Orthodox churches issued a statement concerning certain “outpourings,” of the Holy Spirit that were taking place in various areas of the country. This outpouring was a by-product of the Hebrides Revival that had began in certain parts of Scotland, Ireland and other parts of Europe several years before but was spreading across Europe. The clergy basically stated they did not want the same revival coming to Germany because they did not want their “churches” to get carried away with strange manifestations and lose control of the laity. In simple words, they told the Holy Ghost, “DON’T COME HERE!”

        When a nation, church or individual says such with their heart the Holy Spirit will listen. He’s a perfect gentleman and not one to push Himself into our lives without our wanting His grace. He comes to point us to CHRIST, so Germany rejecting the Holy Ghost was Germany rejecting CHRIST.

        With a thicket of swastika flags surrounding the altar of the Magdeburg Cathedral, the dean, Dr. Martin, declared in 1933, “Whoever reviles this symbol of ours is reviling our Germany…the swastika flags around the altar radiate hope; hope that that day is last about to dawn.” The German church never dreamed in a million years that the day that was about to “dawn,” was an era of unspeakable evil unleashed by just one man. Ten years earlier the same Germany church embraced a doctrine of license that promoted prosperity, individual self-esteem, a life of ease where God was obligated to grant all things to all people no matter whether their hearts were right or not. In other words it was a gospel based on formulas, greed, self-righteousness and lasciviousness. The German church was also highly Anti-Semitic. A strong Germany was more highly valued than a strong gospel witness, unless the gospel, as was often the case, was reinterpreted to be a plea to loyalty and unity to the German cause.

        The 1920 German Church’s rejection of LIGHT, caused it to descend into darkness. This darkness produced a numbness over all involved that no one ever saw Hitler coming and what his true nature was when he rose to power. No one in Germany's church leadership had a clue that within just 25 years one man would come on the scene and change their entire world forever by unleashing unspeakable evil upon all under his control.

        You must realize that in the 1920s, Hitler was not even a dot on the radar screen. He had made very little dent into the German mindset of his warped ideas of nationalism and Germany’s future. To most Germans, Hitler was looked upon as just another nut-case with an agenda. Had it not been for the German church embracing Hitler’s vision for the nation, he may have very well never gotten to power. I say that knowing that God was in control of all things and this entire scenario was allowed to happen. I believe Hitler’s rise to power was a warning to us today of what happens when a church drifts away from God and ceases to preach the true gospel of Christ. Whenever there is a spiritual vacuum in a nation, the enemy is all too ready to come in and fill that void with demonic forces.

        As the time for Hitler’s coronation drew closer in the early 1930s, the cries for his leadership increased from the voice of those who should have been crying out against him the most. Adoration for Hitler poured forth from pulpits of Germany. Pastor Siegfried Leffler proclaimed, “In the pitch black night of church history, Hitler became as it were, the wonderful transparency for our time, the window of our age, through which light fell on the history of Christianity. Through him we were able to see the Savior in the history of the Germans.”

        On August 30, 1933, Pastor Julius Leutherser gushed, “Christ has come to us through Hitler…through his honesty, his faith and his idealism, the Redeemer found us…we have only one task, be German, not Christian.” At this point the rejection of the Holy Spirit had come full circle. Germany had rejected the light of the true gospel and now not only was the nation in darkness, but the church as well. It’s a given fact that a nation’s health is always tied into the health of the church of that nation. In Germany’s case, since the church was deceived, it was no wonder the nation followed suit without question. The church that was called by God to stand against the evils of the Nazi regime now came to embrace it.

        As Erwin Lutzer wrote in his great book, “Hitler’s Cross,”
 

“Swastikas, with the cross of Christ sometimes neatly woven in the center, adorned the churches. The broken cross of the political savior and the cross of the spiritual Savior would unite to lead Germany out o its abyss to the glorious heights of self-respect, unify the nation and make people feel good about themselves again.”

        When the churchmen awoke from their political and spiritual slumbers, they discovered too late that they had been deceived. Early on a few understood that Hitler was to be repudiated rather than revered, but their voices were drowned with the shouts of victory, celebration, partying and a deception so deep that those standing outside it could only shake their head in disbelief that something like this was happening to the German church. And many are shaking their heads today at what is happening within the American church and how so many leaders can be preaching the type gospel they are and be applauded instead of rebuked!

Three Things……

        There were three main dynamics that took place within the Germany church of 1920 I want to look at that I believe are also taking place today. Germany was about 1/3rd Catholic and 2/3rds Protestant. To its credit the Catholic Church actually stood against Hitler with a greater solidarity than the Protestants. Hitler knew that the Catholic church had an organizational network in many countries, so he preferred to maintain goodwill with the Vatican that guaranteed freedom of religion in exchange for political support. When Hitler began to break his promises, the church leaders were confused. They had declared loyalty to a MAN. They were now forced to be disloyal. In the end the Catholic Church suffered as much as the Protestants.

        Hitler proclaimed one day that Christians would betray their God when they were forced to choose between the swastika and the Cross.
 

        “Do you really believe the masses will be Christian again? Nonsense! Never again. That tale is finished. No one will listen to it again. But we can hasten matters. The parsons will dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us. They will betray ANYTHING for the sake of their miserable jobs and incomes.”

        How could Hitler be so sure of that? It was easy. The very statement he made in 1933 was what he witnessed among the churches in the 1920s. German Christians were not concerned with righteousness exalting a nation. They were not concerned with preaching the cross of Christ and not wavering in their call to a backslidden nation for repentance and turning to God. The gospel had been turned into a call for nationalism instead of a call for men to die to their old natures at the foot of the cross of Christ.

        German Christians in the 1920s were more concerned with summer homes, retirement planning, where to send their children to college, new cars, vacation destinations and getting as rich as quickly as possible. The German church had sold out to the popular themes of German culture LONG before Hitler came to power. They were prepared to be deceived. And to state it again, just 25 years later, the nation laid in ruins, along with the deaths of nearly 56 million people worldwide as the result of just one man.

        Many are reading this and saying, “it can’t happen again.” Neighbor, it’s GOING to happen again and the man that is coming on the scene THIS TIME will make Hitler look like a choir boy. And that is the subject of this journal. This foundation we’ve laid is to cause us to look at the 2005 American church and see that the same seeds that were in the ground in 1920 Germany are in the ground today!

        Three things underscored the church in Germany’s theology:

1. Nationalism above discipleship
2. Liberalism above righteousness
3. Worship of a man instead of worship of the true Christ. (i.e. accepting a false Christ (Antichrist) for the real Christ

        As a result of choices made in the 1920s, the church found it impossible to stand against German culture. It stood transfixed, seemingly unable to challenge the assumptions of German nationalism. Before it knew what happened, the church itself began to stand against democracy itself and the liberties of individual conscience. Democracy, according to the church, was a weak form of government that paid too much attention to individual human rights. If the state was to be strong, individual freedom had to be set aside for the greater good of a united, economically stable, and strong nation. Christians stood for the greatness of Germany, for its military might and prominence.

        There were very few church members who were perceptive enough to realize that such idolatry and debauchery was inviting the judgment of God on the nation. These few voices found it very difficult to stand against the torrent of public adoration. Before it was over, the voices against Hitler went silent.

        Another issue was the descent into liberalism by the church on theological, moral and social issues. Without a clear message of repentance and faith in Christ alone as the Son of God, the churches substituted the proud banner of Christianized nationalism for the meekness and humility of Christ.

        Martin Luther may have had some issues concerning the Jewish people we don’t agree with, but he did preach a message of justification by faith. He preached a divine Christ who was the only hope for reconciliation between depraved sinners and an infinitely holy God. The cross of Luther’s Christ did not comfortably blend in with the swastika. In the presence of Christ’s cross, men were humbled and abased. In the presence of the 1920s’ German church’s cross, men were exalted and made gods in the minds of many. It ignited pride that so gripped the church all Hitler really did was tap into that same reservoir and thus slide swiftly into power without much resistance. All that was expected of good Christians in Germany was to help Germany become great.

        The church was caught up in the spirit of the age. It saw its role as helping erase the shame of the past and bringing about a better future. It rejoiced in a reversal of unemployment, in the improvement of the standard of living, and the self-conscious dignity that revived a beleaguered nation.

        The scary footnote to these dynamics was the fact that evangelical Christian leaders at the time were predicting a spiritual awakening coming to Germany that would usher in one of the nation’s greatest times. J. Oswald Smith, a leading theologian at the time said without hesitation when questioned about Germany’s future under Hitler, “Germany is safe.”

        Christians should have known, as we SHOULD TODAY, that Germany was not “safe.” The persecution of the church was heating up. The deception was now dividing churches into those supporting Hitler and those who saw the truth. Very few were willing to suffer for a gospel they had long abandoned. Most were concerned with the salvation IN the world instead of salvation in an unseen life to come. In other words, temporal matters were far more important to the German church than eternal ones. Allegiance to the political structure of both the church and state were far more important than allegiance to Jesus Christ and to God the Father. To the German church, allegiance to their political structure was in their minds allegiance to God. IT WAS NOT, and it IS NOT today either.

        Little by little, Hitler removed the boundaries of righteousness in the nation till it sunk to the bottom of depravity. Hitler transformed German society by first transforming the church.

        At what point will we today be willing to defend the cross of Christ? Will parents object if their children are routinely indoctrinated in homosexual ideology of occultism in the public schools? Will be object the state tells pastors what they can and cannot say behind pulpits? Just recently a Swedish pastor was put in jail for preaching on Sodom and Gomorrah in declaring homosexuality a sin, not a disease! He was sentenced to a four-week prison term.

        Will we object if the state assumes ownership of our children (the public school system is pushing toward that right now) and tells us how to rear them, or else lose custody? Neighbor, that is coming and coming soon. The state will start telling you that reading the Bible to your child is against the law and before we know it the child will become the master over the parent. When that happens, anarchy is not far behind. Will we object if every church has to hire a homosexual to satisfy a quota obligation? The answer to all these questions for the church in 1920s Germany was NO! The church did not object.

        Hitler forced the church to adopt what he called “positive Christianity,” that was more radical than even the most nationalistic churches had anticipated. His plan, as it would later be unveiled called for the obliteration of the church. In the end he wanted to destroy the church by transforming the tenets of Christianity. He mused that “one god must dominate another. The swastika must dominate their cross.” He was willing to give the church freedom as long as they did not do anything “subversive to the state.”

        With the state embracing homosexuality, perversion, killing of Jews and genocide, it should not have been that hard for the church to make a clear choice. Sadly, it was. And more sad I’m afraid is the fact the 2005 American church as it stands right now is descending into the same abyss that the church of 1920 Germany did. We are seeing the lines of right and wrong rapidly disappearing. And before Germany knew it a man of sin arose and destroyed their world. And before we know it child of God, the rapture is going to change the landscape, the season of tribulation will be upon Planet Earth and another man of sin will appear to unleash HIS brand of unspeakable evil that will dwarf Hitler’s by 100-fold.

The Cross Of Christ

        The cross of Christ is the dividing line between the True Church and the Apostate Church. This is not new! It has been that way from the very beginning. The end result of false doctrine is not a matter of preference gone wrong. It leads to destruction, just as the embracing of false doctrine and a false Christ led to the destruction of Germany in 1945. The thief has come to steal, kill and to destroy.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

        The cross is the very foundation of the TRUE CHURCH. The cross of Christ is the only thing standing between this world and the judgment of God. The Apostle Paul stood very strongly against ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that encroached upon the Message of the Cross.

Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.


        Because of false doctrine and a false Christ lives will be shattered and wrecked. Many will lose their souls. When the cross of Christ is alluded to once in a while or casually mentioned, it’s not the foundation of a church’s doctrine! The enemy’s siren song to the church always will be heard with the idea that the cross of Christ is not the answer. Many modern movements, including the Purpose Driven Life, the Church and G-12 along with certain elements of the Word of Faith movement either pay lip service to the cross or openly denigrate the cross.

        The seriousness of these movements, which are basically the three main “fads” right now in the body of Christ, is the fact that all three are paving the way for the man of sin, just as the doctrines of the early 1920’s church of Germany paved the way for Hitler. Much of what is passed off as faith is not faith at all. The only type of faith that God recognizes is Faith in Christ and what Christ did at the Cross. Anything else is FALSE and will lead the person in question down a path to hell itself. This same mindset of faith in the state in Germany led the nation down a path to hell. Today, it’s not necessarily faith in the state as much as it has become faith in a church system. It’s the same seed and root and both are preparing millions of hearts for the rise of Antichrist.

1 Cor. 1:17-18 - For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
[18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Cor. 1:21, 23
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Ephes. 2:13-18
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; [15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; [16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: [17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. [18] For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Romans 6:3-5
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Galatians 6:14
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

The Man Of Sin

        The Antichrist will be driven to rule the world, yet while in his own eyes, he may be thinking he’s coming to “save” the world. He will pay any price, even satanic possession, to make his mark in history. When the time comes for his ascension to power – it will be in the midst of an unprecedented global crisis – he will hailed as the world’s savior, and so he will appear to be. There will be a spiritual vacuum in the world that will cause this man to be readily accepted by society AND the professing church of that day.

2 Cor. 11:14-15
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. [15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

        Even though at first the world will seem to have entered a golden age of peace and prosperity under the most brilliant and benevolent leader in history, the awful truth of the destruction the Antichrist will unleash will not be known until it’s too late.

        Jesus warned that MANY could come claiming to be the Christ. These numerous lesser antichrists who were already in the world, as John explained in 1 John 2:18, would prepare the way for the real Antichrist who would appear in “the last days.”

1 John 2:18
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
 

        Satan posing as God, the Antichrist masquerading as Christ, and not just the world, but an APOSTATE church as well, totally taken in by the charade. This scenario seems far-fetched to many, especially those in the church. The church has stopped preaching on the rapture and the Second Coming of Christ. This is why many will be left unprepared as the German church of 1920 was left totally unprepared for the evil of Hitler when it blew in on winds of deception.

        Instead of a frontal assault on Christianity, the evil one will pervert the church FROM WITHIN posing as its founder, just as Hitler ultimately did in Germany. He will cunningly misrepresent Christ while pretending to BE Christ. And by that process of substitution he will undermine and pervert ALL that Christ truly is. It would be one thing that a heathen world accept him as their deliverer; it’s quite another to know that the church of that day will, without a dissenting voice, hail him as its leader as well.

        Such a perverse and total deception is beyond the ability of our imagination to conceive. It is certainly not what the average person is being led to believe today with the modern gospel that has totally left the truth of Christ. Because we have stopped preaching the REAL JESUS, the false Christ will have no problem coming to us as the savior. The Antichrist will tap into the very things driving the modern church – greed, self-esteem, rebellion, liberalism, sin, control and structure.

        The apostate church opposes everything Christ taught as well as Christ Himself, yet it insists that it is faithful to Him. Satan’s lie must be honored as God’s truth without the church leaders who deceive and those who are deceived even knowing that such a metamorphosis has occurred. The German church never knew what hit it for these same reasons. As stated before, Hitler’s acceptance by the church was long consummated prior to his election because the church had already apostatized.

The Holy Spirit Through Paul Warned Us

        The Holy Spirit warned us through Paul a falling away was coming to Planet Earth:

2 Thes. 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

        While the apostasy no doubt is related to a simultaneous general moral decay in society affecting every arena of life from the family to education, business, and politics. The primary meaning is a departure from the truth of God’s word. Sound doctrine will be despised. For many people objective truth will have been replaced by feelings and experience. For others, intellectualism and skepticism will have justified what seems to be a very reasonable “new faith.”

        Jesus took it upon Himself to warn us as well. He asked the question prior to His death whether when He returned to Earth He would find true faith.

Luke 18:8
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

        When the disciples asked Him what would characterize the last days prior to His return, He explained that it would be a time of the greatest religious deception the world had seen to that point, or would ever see again. He prefaced His remarks with this solemn warning, “take heed that no man DECEIVE YOU!”

Matthew 24:4
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matthew 24:5
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:11
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

        Those who heed the warnings of history AND scripture will not succumb to the spirit of the last days. Like God, who weeps over a rebellious world and delays His judgment to give men time to REPENT, they will have a passion to bring His truth to the world. The truth is the gospel of Christ and Him Crucified and nothing more. ALL doctrine must center on the Cross. The Holy Spirit is given to us because of the Cross. Healing comes to us because of the Cross. Prosperity (true prosperity) comes to us because of the Cross. Spiritual victory over the powers of darkness comes to us because of the Cross. ALL spiritual definition and grace comes to us because of the Cross.

        Everyone who loves God more than this world and to whom his evaluation of one’s life means more than the fickle opinions of men will be kept from he delusion that will sweep the world. Those who fear God and keep His Word have no fear of what others may think or say or do to them.

        The “Christianity” that will evolve into the world’s religion will not be bible-based Christianity, but an embracing of and accommodating of all the world’s faiths. As for the political climate, the world will be united in twin causes of GLOBAL PEACE and ECOLOGICAL rescue when this man appears. Those two terms were on the mouths of every German Christian in the 1920s as to why they thought Hitler was their savior.

        Just like the dynamics of Europe were priming the continent for a second World War, so too are the dynamics of today’s landscape setting the stage for more war and bloodshed in the future. Democracy is moving east. Free elections are being held in previously strong Islamic-controlled areas of the Middle East. The Islamic world, too, remains tied to its own agenda and is still susceptible to the sudden call of a Holy War against all mankind. Lest we forget 9-11-2001, let us remember that there is a growing hatred of those who name the name of Jesus and are lovers of freedom and democracy.

        There is a greater cry for global peace than ever before. It will be a springboard for the rise of Antichrist. Sadly, if you look at the doctrinal statements of most of the major church growth movements today, the underlying theology is a pursuit of world peace through the uniting of all religions under one banner. That banner is NOT Christ but a banner of acceptance no matter how false or perverted the doctrinal stances of the movements are. It was the same ground on which Hitler sprung to power in the 1930s. It’s the same ground the coming Antichrist will spring to power in the not too distant future.

In Closing

        We will pick this theme up in future journals as we continue to feel led by the Holy Spirit to write about preparation for the end times. Neighbor it’s getting late. A long, long time ago, the Lord spoke to Ezekiel and said:

Ezekiel 3:20-21
Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [21] Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

        The modern church world has ignored this warning. We are experiencing a tidal wave of deception flooding over the American church at the present time. It’s very similar to the tidal wave of deception that flooded the German church in the 1920s. The German church never realized that 25 years later their world would be turned upside down and destroyed. ALL that meant anything to them in their temporal mindsets – homes, money, jobs, position, education and prestige – were GONE.

        The question as I close this journal is this. The Bible tells us that another “man” like Hitler is coming. This man of sin will usher in a holocaust just as Hitler did against the Jewish people, Christians and all who oppose him. Do we have 25 years as the German church did to realize this? Not everyone who reads this will listen or hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church. This journal is not for them. It’s for you who like me, has a heart that is breaking for the condition of fallen, lost humanity and sees a church that is offering the lost everything BUT the PERSON who can set them free- JESUS.

        I leave you with the words of the apostle John as we close this journal. We will pick this theme up in future messages. Don’t forget the lessons of the church in 1920 Germany. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. History WILL be repeated in this case. The question is will you and be discerning enough in these last days to see the truth from the error of the false? The dividing line will always be the Cross of Christ! Let all who glory, glory in nothing else but Christ and Him Crucified!

1 John 4:1-6
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. [2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: [3] And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. [4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. [5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. [6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
