Part One

God has always given man what he wants. One of Israel's darkest hours was the day God gave into their complaints about the leadership of Samuel and gave them Saul. Saul turned out to be one of Israel's most ruthless, deadly and evil kings in all her history. When we seek to rebel against God's appointed authority over our lives, we are not rejecting the authority, we are rejecting HIM! The story of Samuel, Saul and Israel is a warning to America as we enter the 2004 Presidential election season. The rebellion and lack of respect for our current President underscores a greater problem of a nation turning her back on God. He will "give us a king," if we're not careful that could very possibly be the catalyst for the destruction of this once mighty nation.

TEXT: 1 Samuel 8:19-21
Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; [20] That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. [21] And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the Lord.
 

As we write this journal, we are now but days away from the mid-term elections of 2006 here in America. Just two years from the first Tuesday in November we will elect a new President as President Bush's second and final term will come to a close. I turned 41 this January and have now been part of each election since 1980 when I was a sophomore in High School and Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter in an election that changed America's course from one of low morale to a bright future under the late President. Mr. Reagan was not perfect without a doubt, but the man understood the basic fundamental issues that a nation without God is a nation without a moral compass. Without a moral compass, America, along with any nation,  will eventually be destroyed. Reagan sought to bring America back under that compass for the eight years he was in office. Under Mr. Carter, the nation had sunk into one of it's lowest points ever being humiliated by the Iranian hostage crisis that lasted from early 1979 till the very day Reagan took office in 1981. I remember sitting in my American History class on a cold afternoon in Bainbridge, Georgia when the news came across the television nearly 15 years ago now that seems like yesterday in the mind of this writer.

America did not know how to deal with the rising tide of Islamic fundamentalism THEN and sadly she does not understand how to do with it now. Islam's war is against Christianity plain and simple despite President Bush's recent comments to the contrary recently. I respect President Bush a great deal and if he could run a third time this writer would whole heartedly vote for the man. I know he has made plenty of mistakes for sure; but we "Monday morning" quarterbacks need to keep our mouth shut when we go to criticize the man. If we'd do as much PRAYING as we did criticizing we just may be surprised what the Lord of heaven would do for our nation! There is such hatred and malice towards Mr. Bush it is not funny; sadly, some of that hatred and anger is coming from Christians who know BETTER than to sink into such foolish talking WHICH IS A SIN according to the Word of GOD! I'm not naive to believe President Bush has made all the right moves or could not have moved in more humility at times. The reason he has not been able to admit more mistakes is because of a GODLESS and wicked news media and opposition party who would crucify him to the wall each time if he went before the American people with a heart felt evaluation of things - especially those things taking place in Iraq and the Middle East.

We are at war ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake. It's a war that we Christians did not ask for but one unfortunately that has been thrust upon us and one that cannot be won with bullets and bombs but won through the mighty pulling down of demonic strongholds through prayer and intercession! There is not a more important fight facing us this Century than the one against the free Judaic-Christian world and that of the Islamic led world that is in many ways paving the way for the Antichrist to explode on the scene in the very near future who will seek to destroy Israel and wipe out every vestige of Christianity off the face of the earth.

Just a day or so ago I received a tremendous email from Asher Intrater's ministry that puts the hatred for President Bush into tremendous perspective. This is what it says:

This writer agrees with 95% of what Mr. Intrater says. His statement in the next to the last paragraph is well-meant but this writer disagrees with him that the rule of the Antichrist is a minor theme in Scripture. The entire end-time scenario is one that is seen through the eyes of the apostles as being a time when the man of sin will overcome the saints with great fury for a season during the time of Jacob's Trouble. Many take this term "saint" to teach the unscriptural doctrine that the church will go through the Tribulation and have to fight the Antichrist to survive basically replacing Israel once again with the church in the end time scenarios of Daniel and Revelation.  The term "saint" and "saints" are used in Daniel to describe Daniel's PEOPLE - the JEWS.

Daniel 7:21 - I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; [22] Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. [23] Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Those who are looking for a cave to hide in - have at it; this writer will let you do just that. I'm not looking for a hole in the ground, I'm looking for a hole in the SKY! I'm not looking to run and hide; I'm looking to RISE AND FLY when the TRUMP OF ALMIGHTY GOD SOUNDS and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together to be with them in the clouds forever and forever. The world is being primed as I write these words for the advent of the Antichrist. YES, Christ IS the theme of the Bible, don't get me wrong. But if we fail to rightly divide the word of God we will not only get ourselves into error, we will find ourselves not preparing our hearts to be taken at any second by the rapture of the church. If we will but READ THE WORD OF GOD and stop tinkering with what the book says to fit our own deceived thinking and theology we'll see that there is NOTHING in the prophetic scheme of God's plan for both the Church and for Israel hindering the rapture of the church. There is PLENTY of things left unfulfilled before the Lord comes back to earth a SECOND time without sin unto salvation to redeem Israel from the clutches of the Antichrist and set up an earthly kingdom in Jerusalem from where and which He will rule and reign forever.

The reason this writer brings these matters up is simple; we're living in the last of the last days and the "venom" and "hatred" for our President is but another sign there is a ground swell of desire in America to see God totally removed from our culture and society. And before you ACLU types and liberal morons write me an email proclaiming separation of "church" and state, let me just help you before you write your emails. Jesus taught on separation of church and state! He taught we are to render unto Caesar those things that belong to Caesar and to render those things that belong to God to God! What He DID NOT teach was the separation of GOD and state, which is really what these godless leaders in Washington (I.E. THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND ITS LEADERSHIP) is seeking to do should it take power next Tuesday.

CHILD OF GOD, hear this writer with everything in you. There is much more at stake next Tuesday than just the control of the Senate and the House. Should President Bush lose a majority of support with the Republicans (I'm not extolling them either and I'll deal with that more in a moment) we will lose probably all chance of seeing Roe V. Wade struck down and the solidifying of the partial birth abortion bill that was passed during President Bush's first term. There are powerful forces in the Democratic Party who would not blink an eye to see to pass a law overturning the partial birth bill, not law. In addition to the aborition issue which is extremely important in itself (I encourage the reader to visit Fletcher Armstrong's site www.abortionno.org for a tremendous amount of helpful and graphic information on what abortion is and the truth of the procedure used by doctors to murder unborn babies) with no doubt. Let me make it clear on abortion before we go on. Neighbor, it does not take a theological genius or professor or scholar to understand that abortion is MURDER. That baby ma'am in your body is not a choice it is a HUMAN BEING with a HUMAN SOUL and a HUMAN heart. You and that godless doctor are going to be held accountable before Almighty God for killing that baby. You need to repent NOW before you go through with this; seek the face of God in mercy and He will move in mercy and grace to forgive you and set you free from this hideous deception that is making you want to kill an unborn child.

The news reported a lady in North Carolina last week who got off during her trail that sought to put her in jail for taking a shotgun and shooting herself in the stomach the day her baby was supposed to be delivered. The baby died and the state brought attempted murder charges against the woman but the godless judge ruled the act was not murder because there was no proof the baby would live anyway. GOD HELP THIS NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD HELP US as the blood of untold MILLIONS of unborn babies cry to God from the earth as the blood of innocent Abel cried from the earth so long ago when wicked Cain rose up to kill him over the issue of sacrifice!

This writer believes there are STILL enough men and women of God in this nation who care about such to take up an intercessory role of prayer for these elections and stand in the gap for the voices of the future unborn who face a certain death if abortion is not stopped in this nation and stopped soon. A godless former television host once mocked that if the laws of the land were overturned concerning abortion, "there would not be enough jails to house all the women breaking the law." Uh, listen to this writer MORON - I don't care if we have to build 1 million jails - if this nation will turn back to God and seek his face and come to Him in mercy and repentance, He will heal our land of this scourge yes, but He will also send revival to set free both the MEN AND WOMEN from the adulterous spirit that caused the unwanted baby in the first place. Abortion is more than an act of killing; it's perpetrated in sin because more than likely two people had sex outside the bounds of marriage and the lady or the man one or both didn't want the responsibility of taking care of the child.

In this selfish society we live in however, godless leaders would rather spend millions protecting a buzzard in Arizona than they would a human life inside a woman's womb. And I'm about to meddle here now; but our churches would rather spend their time planning their fall festivals and Christmas cantatas that take up an intercessory role of prayer for the LIFE OF THIS NATION WHEN IT COMES TO ABORTION! Church, we have the power in our hearts and souls - the POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST to change America if we will but PRAY and seek the Lord's face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Number two, the nation faces a severe test when it comes to same-sex marriage in several states. There is a very good possibility that should the Democratic party get elected powerful forces will seek to make this abomination and wicked and perverted practice LEGAL in many states, thus bringing further judgment on America. God does not hate homosexuals but He DOES hate their sin and if they refuse to repent of their sin and continue to live in known rebellion against God they will one day face His judgement and justice which will be eternity in a place called hell.  God loves the one bound by sin - no matter whether that sin is homosexuality or abortion, or lust, or gossip, or malice, or anything else. But He cannot tolerate sin neighbor and has provided a way for man to be FREE from sin - through the shed blood of the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and those who come to him - be them an individual OR A NATION - can find cleansing, freedom, pardon, mercy and grace if they will but come to the Lord in repentance and faith.

There is a dear ministry acquaintance of mine Lisa and I know who sadly who has been deceived into thinking that homosexuality is "God's will" for his life and for that he "came out of the closet" last year, left his wife and children, threw away the call of God and is living in known sin right now thinking in his heart God is ok with what he is doing. His catch phrase over and over to those who confront him is "you all are just not tolerant and loving, but judgmental and harsh." Neighbor, one day if this dear brother don't find a place of repentance he don't know what "harsh" means! God's justice is something that NONE of us wants! We all deserve hell but He has provided a way of escape for those who will but believe and be saved! Jesus Christ did not come that we continue in sin but that we might be set free from the powers of darkness and the chains and the shackles of sin. I love this dear brother and this has broken my sweet wife as well as my heart more than once. We hurt for the pain sin has caused his family, his wife, his children, those who were under the influence of his ministry who are now disillusioned wandering how could such an anointed man fall into such darkness and be so deceived.

As I go to writing this word has come of one of the leading evangelicals in America resigning as president of the 30 million-member National Association of Evangelicals after being accused of paying a man for sex in monthly trysts over the past three years. This same minister was an outspoken opponent of the drive for gay marriage but who also refused to call HOMOSEXUALITY A SIN on a national television interview with Larry King in 2004. I sat there in my home that night and heard it come out of his mouth that quote, (responding to King's question was Homosexuality a sin) "there is a better way to live than that but I'm not going to go as far as to say that a homosexual is a sinner." For this man to be leading "millions," in the evangelical community I felt that he should have resigned THEN. No matter how true or untrue these CURRENT allegations are we need to pray for this brother; I'm not picking up stones here but my point is this.

As voters in eight  states, including the one this minister resides, Colorado,  and seven other states prepare to decide ban-gay-marriage amendments next Tuesday, there will be those who go inside that booth and because this demonic and damnable lifestyle has been tolerated and accepted in the church, thousands will think it ok to vote for it. Neighbor, the church don't need another book on how to build an effective leadership team - it needs a PROPHET to stand up and say "THUS SAY THE LORD!" It don't need contemporary Christian rock concerts or the Purpose Driven Life's 40 Days of Purpose to get it back on track. It needs an outpouring of the HOLY GHOST that will cause us to see our sin before God and how ugly our hearts have become because we've left the preaching of the Cross and the Word of God!

Besides the proposed ban on the Colorado ballot, a separate measure would establish the legality of domestic partnerships providing same-sex couples with many of the rights of married couples.

Neighbor, hear this writer and I speak to Christians here with a stern warning to us ALL. We had better get our houses cleaned up and cleaned up NOW. God is evidently getting ready to move again in GLORY and POWER in such a way the nation will be shaken to its core. Anytime God moves in such a manner the FIRST thing He does is move WITHIN HIS OWN and deal with the sin among His own people FIRST, before dealing with the nation. I believe the revelation of this leading minister is but a drop in the bucket of what is coming. It would take one either being so out of touch with reality it's not funny or being an ostrich with its head stuck in the sand not to see the SPIRIT OF SODOM behind the pulpits, behind choir desks, teaching Sunday School and on deacon boards in most churches. LET ME CLEAR THIS UP FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW THIS: HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN; LESBIANISM IS A SIN; SODOMY IS A SIN; IT IS AN ABOMINATION BEFORE THE LORD AND ANY NATION WHO PROMOTES SUCH AND EMBRACES SUCH WILL FACE THE CERTAIN JUDGMENT OF ALMIGHTY GOD unless it repents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There IS hope for our nation if we will HUMBLE ourselves before the Lord and repent of our sin - both INDIVIDUALLY and corporately!

If we harden our heart though, which is what the nation is doing, we will be cut off and experience untold horror and bloodshed unknown to the annals of America's history! It is this writer's humble opinion that should the Democrats win control of Congress they will push an agenda that will promote same-sex marriage rights and a abominable promotion of the homosexual lifestyle as the norm not exception. In addition to this there is a good possibility laws will be passed that will make it illegal to preach and say homosexuality is a sin! All this writer can say is find me a cell and go ahead of get me a cot - cause I don't care what the law of the Land says - I'm more concerned about the LAW OF GOD! When we get to heaven there will not be room to use that as an excuse. If a woman commits abortion today and thinks "well it's the law of the land, so God is ok with it." How stupid to think that but to answer that question - God's law OVERRIDES ALL laws of nations - especially those that go contrary to His own law!
 

The Terror Issue and The Fight Against Islam

I feel President Bush has done an admirable job in fighting the war on terror considering what he has had to deal with since coming into office in 2001. But as good a job as he's done I'm afraid, as many others who know the stakes in this war against Islamic fundamentalism (NOTICE I SAID FUNDAMENTALISM NOT FANATICISM - these people are not fanatics they are only practicing the letter of the law of this perverse and damnable religion!) if he continues to seek to appease a religious death cult, especially on an annual basis during their most holy holiday, he could bring prophetic judgment upon his nation. President Bush has said that Christians, Jews and Muslims worship the same God and he continues to elevate the Islamic cult to the same level as God Almighty. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The entire 66 books of the Bible are consistent and congruous in all ways. The Koran, if one would take the time to read it, is a humanistic version of man’s concepts and ideals whose bottom line is that if you don’t agree with it, you should be put to death by the sword, especially if you are a Jew or a Christian.

The first of the Ten Commandments is “You shall have no other gods before Me.” In Deuteronomy 28, the Lord God set forth the curses of disobeying His commandments, among them, “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do…The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies…and the Lord will bring you to an unknown nation and you shall serve other gods of wood and stone.” The President, to his credit, is trying to keep the peace here in this nation between the Muslims and everybody else, but keeping the peace does not mean appeasement, nor does it give license to disobey the word of God.

In his most recent message—called the President’s Ramadan Message—President Bush says, “According to Islamic teachings, this month represents when God delivered His word to the prophet Muhammad in the form of the Qur'an… Ramadan and the upcoming holiday seasons are a good time to remember the common values that bind us together. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens whose commitment to faith reminds us of the gift of religious freedom in our country.” Muhammad’s Koran is totally inconsistent with the Word of God in the Bible—because the god of the Koran is satan. And it’s difficult to be bound together with someone whose values are such that we should be beheaded if we don’t agree with his or her brand of religion.

And it’s questionable about how our society is enriched by a zealous cult who wants to end our way of life. But the President is not unlike many in the church today who believe that common ground for the common good supercedes the truth of the Word of God. Pluralism, the belief that all religions have equal value, has captured much of the Christian church and has rendered it ineffective. Jesus said in Revelation 3:15,16, of the church of the Laodiceans, “I know thy works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I could wish that you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” Choose this day that you serve, for me and my house we serve the Lord.

Our nation to say the least sits in a dangerous place friend. We are teetering on the brink of blaspheming the Holy Ghost as the generation in Israel that lived during Christ's time Israel did and as a result the nation was destroyed in A.D. 70. God's mercy and grace will bring Israel back to Him one day for sure but the cost to the nation was immense. Do we as Americans want to pay that same cost as Israel did so long ago for disobedience? I think not.

Remember this friend, before God deals with the wickedness of the heathen, He first deals with the wickedness that exists among the righteous! I believe He is doing just that right now. He is about to break forth with a mighty move of the Holy Ghost that will usher in millions of people into the Kingdom of God in one last move of revival before the rapture of the church. I believe that. I believe if God's people will repent and humble themselves and PRAY under the unction of the Holy Ghost we will see such a move. The greatest move of God YET is about to hit this Planet. Before God does that however, He is about to clean house in His church. The spirit of Sodom is alive and well in the church. One may say, it's alive in America as a nation; YES it is, but men and women who are so-called leaders in the church world today who are homosexuals and lesbians in secret are about to be revealed. I don't mean to sound mean on this next statement but the catch phrase in the homosexual community is "we're coming out of the closet." Neighbor, what God is about to do is about to tear the closet door off its hinges!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I speak to those who are in secret bondage to this hideous spirit right now in the name of Jesus. THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU FRIEND IF YOU WILL HUMBLE YOURSELF AND REPENT. When I say REPENT, I don't mean, find a "Christian" counseling session or  support group! I mean find the nearest altar or kneel where you're at right now, throw yourself on the mercy and grace of the World's Redeemer and Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ, and allow His blood to cover you and flow over you by the power of the Holy Ghost. The HOLY GHOST WILL SET YOU FREE FRIEND. But to be free - YOU MUST WANT TO BE FREE! And wanting to be free is only the first step- you must choose to renounce this hideous lifestyle as SIN and not seek to hang on to it. You don't need man's hands laid on you - you need the HOLY GHOST TO LAY HIS HANDS ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This acquaintance we spoke of earlier told me he had been to every church in the south to hook up with support groups LOOKING TO FIND freedom. I can tell my friend this right now - he'll NEVER find freedom in church support groups, Christian counselors, or any other humanistic based program. God help the church return to the old fashioned preaching of the Cross and the power of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need another Pentecost!

THERE IS NO FREEDOM IN THE CHURCH SYSTEM neighbor. There is no salvation in the church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to say it again. There is no salvation in the church. The only hope for salvation and deliverance is found at the foot of the World's Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood can set the captive free, break the powers of darkness, set the captives free and SET YOU FREE HOMOSEXUAL AND LESBIAN FROM THE PERVERSE BONDAGE AND DARKNESS YOU FIND YOURSELF IN. YOU CAN BE FREE TODAY but not by man's methods or man's churches. You need a one on one encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ! Don't tell me you've repented and repented and then go back into the same sin. Repentance is forsaking the sin, renouncing who we are and humbling ourselves as children before the Lord admitting we're SINNERS and in need of hell. It's NOT holding on to some church formula in one hand and the homosexuality in the other.

When the so-called church allows homosexuals to lead singing, preach behind pulpits, teach Sunday School, serve as presbyters and evangelical leaders - neighbor the church has lost its soul and needs to be saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can call that hate speech or whatever it's no matter to me. This is not hate speech - neighbor it's LOVE SPEECH. It's the truth bathed in love that can set you free today if you will but hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the church AND TO YOU sir, right now. You were not born this way; this is not God's will for your life; this is not some disease; this is not some disorder that can be treated by medicine. It is a CHOICE one makes because they are bound by LUST, which is a work of the FLESH, which can only be dealt with through the means of the Cross and our faith in the Finished Work of Christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't write this any stronger or any plainer than I'm writing it but write it I must. I feel constrained by the Holy Ghost to do so and I pray it's finding fertile ground on hearts as I do.  I started out writing about one thing and wrote about this. I'm going to pick this theme up in part two of this journal and show you what happens to a nation when it rejects the prophetic voice of God through the example of Israel's rejection of Samuel in place of Saul.

Neighbor, we're facing such a crossroads on Tuesday! I'm not lauding a "party," but when having to choose between what we have to choose I feel we have no choice but to pray that the Republicans keep power in Congress for the sake of maintaining hope Roe V. Wade will be struck down. As I close I want to share a prophetic word I received just a few days ago from a respected voice in the prophetic community, Dan Bohler:

As I was praying the Spirit of the Lord spoke this admonition to the Church: "if my people will begin to cry out in intercession for the reversal of Roe VS Wade I will overturn this case by the end of the year 2007. I have warned my Prophets and Prophetesses of the coming invasion of America by the year 2010. I will have mercy on you AMERICA, and POSTPONE THIS INVASION, if you repent for the bloodshed of your MOST INNOCENT!!!

In My Judgment, I will remember Mercy"...

In late 2001 Dr. Bohler first began to get a word from the Lord that Roe V. Wade would eventually be overturned. Since then there have been changes in the Supreme Court and Congress that make this prophetic word appear to be closer than ever to coming to pass. Now is the time for the people of God to begin to pray for this word to be fulfilled
 

If you don't know the Lord today, TODAY is the day of your salvation if you will but reach out in faith and humility to Him and repent of your sin! He WILLS that ALL men be saved and that NONE should perish. If we perish we do it stumbling over the love of God. This journal will be picked up in part two. We have a lot at stake on Tuesday the 7th and we as believers would be wise to understand that and vote according to the Will of God for our nation! I pray we all hear what the prophetic voice of the Spirit is saying to our hearts today; it's getting late friend and it's harvest time.
