The Harvest is Past, The Summer Is Ended And We are Not Saved - The Seriousness of Eternity
It is absolutely true that God loves us, but we as preachers of the gospel MUST remind people of both the goodness and the severity of God. At the Great White Throne Judgement the books are going to be opened, and justice, not mercy, will prevail. Mercy rejected today will result in mercy being gone forever in the future. Multitudes of people are already crying in the pits of hell "The harvest is past and the summer is ended and we are not saved," but millions more will be crying the same thing unless they become wise, repent and believe the gospel.

TEXT: Jeremiah 8:20  - The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

Rev. 20:11-15
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Hebrews 9:27-28
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: [28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

In preparing for this message I read an event from the life of the famous English preacher Jonathan Edwards, who it seemed had very strange habits. In a very brief and very brilliant biography his life, Edwards, whom this writer believes to be one of the greatest preachers that ever preached in America or England, carried in his pocket a handful of precious stones... a diamond, a sapphire, a ruby, an emerald, and so forth. He would walk into a park and take one of those precious stones and hold it up to the light of the sun, moving it around, seeking different shades or different illuminations from it as the sunlight hit it. And as the people would go past, particularly the children, they would all shake their heads indicating that they thought this fellow was just a little bit odd.

Back in 1700s Edwards preached one of the greatest sermons ever preached in America under the anointing of the Holy Ghost called "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." The anointing was so strong on Edwards that according to accounts written later of that solemn moment of eternity people fell off their seats and clung to the pillars that were holding the gallery up - crying out in despair. And he didn't say, "Oh friends, please excuse me. I never meant to embarrass you like that." There was a reason for his power and anointing that day, because before he preached, he prayed. Over and over and over again he prayed, "Oh God, stamp eternity on my eyeballs." I don't know anybody else who's ever prayed it. Maybe we in this modern atmosphere of this so-called syrupy Christianity of today have said it - but if God should stamp eternity or even judgment upon our eyeballs, I'm quite convinced we'd be a very different group of people as well a different group of preachers and ministry leaders!

Someone once said to that great scholar, Daniel Webster, "You have a colossal mind. What is the greatest thought that you have ever had?" He said, "I've thought about many things, but the most awesome, the most terrifying, the most shattering thought I've ever had, is my personal accountability to God one day." There are roughly ¾ million words in the Word of God and one hymn writer calls the Bible, "A golden casket where gems of truth are stored. The heaven drawn picture of Christ, the Living Word." I suggest, like Jonathan Edwards selected a precious stone and lifted it up to the light of the sun, we select one word out of this "golden casket" and hold it up to the light of eternity - and that word is "Judgment."

Some reading this may not be concerned about what this writer has to say which is ok; this website has been up for 10 years without fear of who liked us or not. We got tickled in the late summer of 2007 when someone wrote us an email with the subject line saying "you need to change the subject of your website," because they didn't like the subject we were writing about. That's the beauty of owning your own site. You can say what you want to and not care what the religious or backslidden church says to you. We bathe what we write in love but we write at ALL times with eternity in mind. We write believing that the chance is always there some poor soul seeking for answers may come across this site seeking the truth. WOE unto this writer if I preach NOT the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ on this website. WOE unto us if we point you to some self-help guru's 12-step program or new age philosophy instead of pointing you to the Cross of Christ for the salvation of your soul!

God help us in this modern hour. God help a church that is powerless and Christ-less yet claims it is rich, increased with goods and in need of nothing. That is the definition of "lukewarmess," a condition of the church at Laodicea that the Lord warned would warrant Him vomiting them out of His mouth. He'd rather them be cold or hot - NOT in between.  The church is not warning the masses about the accountability of eternity but I declare unto you today - there is a JUDGEMENT coming for all - both saint and sinner - and ALL men shall stand before a living God. For the child of God our Judgement will be the Judgement seat of Christ; the sinner will stand at the Great White Throne Judgement as recorded in the book of Revelation. Of course because the church has stopped preaching the Bible and has elected to pass out printed copies of the Purpose Driven Life to their members we don't hear sermons on this any more.

Preacher I say this with love but say it with a burning heart. You will stand accountable to God for the souls placed under your care and concern as a shepherd. If you fail to warn men of the consequences of willful sin and do not present the CROSS and the Cross ALONE as man's only hope of salvation and deliverance - YOU WILL STAND accountable before God with the blood of those souls on your hands! Are you hearing me neighbor? You may not like this writer or even care about this website but if you've made it this far in this journal I hope you will at least say, "Please Lord, will You give me some new illumination on this awesome fact of judgment?"

The Judgment Of Sinners

Revelation 20:11-12, 14-15  -  "I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And l saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

I want to read from the book of Revelation. Very often preachers call this the book of the Revelation of Saint John - but that is not the title. It is the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Revelation means the unfolding, the taking away of the veil. I find the book of Revelation a book of mystery, a book of majesty, and a book of misery - because it shows us the final stage of lost men and women. It shows us that forever and ever they are going to be cut off from God. If there are a million roads into hell, there's not one road out. But if in heaven they continually sing, "Worthy is the Lamb," in hell the only thing they sing is the prophetic unction of Jeremiah's lamentation of the lost when he declared: "The harvest is past, the summer is ended and we are not saved." (Jer. 8:20) I suggest you read the 17th, 18th, and 19th chapters of the book of Revelation and see that this book has an imprint on it that no other book has in the Word of God because it says, "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear." (Rev. 1:3) There are a lot of people who read, but how many of them really hear?

In Revelation 20:11-12, 14-15 it says, "I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

Those passages just quoted from the book of Revelation are usually understood to refer to the judgment of sinners. "I saw a great white throne" (typical obviously of purity) "and Him who sat upon it." We read these things and they kind of slide over our minds. But listen to the awesomeness of this:"... from whose presence earth and heaven fled away and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne and books were opened..." Various titles have been given to this awesome event. John Wesley called it "The Great Assize." Billy Sunday in his wonderful way called it "Payday Sunday." A cowboy preacher once called it "The Last Roundup." You can call it, if you like, "A Date With Destiny," or better still, you can call it "Our Day In Court." This book of Revelation begins by telling us that these things will shortly come to pass, and that was 2,000 years ago. We live too much in time. We're too earthbound. We see as other men see. We think as other men think. We invest our time as the world invests it. But if we took hold of eternity as a reality, I'm convinced we'd be a different breed of people.

It must have been very awesome to be living in the days of His flesh. The old boys in the Synagogue muttered and quoted about somebody coming someday, but most of them really didn't believe it. Why didn't Jesus come sweeping through the sky when it was as black as night over Jerusalem? Why didn't He come with ten thousand saints? Why didn't He come with the sound of trumpets? Why didn't He come to the world like that? But when He did come, they couldn't believe that somebody clothed in flesh and blood, who had to eat and sleep and do everything else like they did, was the Son of God.

But Jesus began to make a stir. Why, He actually raised a man from the dead! Even after Jesus ascended to Glory, His work continued on this earth through the power of the Holy Ghost. Our new year's message about the beggar in Acts 3 pointed out the fact that NO DEAD MAN could have healed that beggar crippled from birth. My, how exciting it must have been to witness His majesty and power while on Earth. Just imagine Jesus going to the tomb of Lazarus and saying, "Roll away the stone." (He didn't roll it away. There's some labor we have to do.) And then He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus!” As Campbell Morgan says, "He said 'Lazarus, come forth.' If He had just said 'Come forth,' all the cemetery would have come - and it wasn't their time yet!" So Lazarus came forth. I'll bet the disciples were a proud bunch that day, saying, "What do you think about our Master now? He's even raising the dead!"

When All the Dead Are Raised

John 5:28-29
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, [29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

But Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead is only a preview of what's yet to come. In John 5:28-29, Jesus says '"...an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; those who did the good deeds, to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." Did you get that? He says that the day is coming in which all who are in the grave shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they shall rise! From Adam wherever he is right now, in the sands or in the dust - all who are in the grave shall hear the voice of the Son of God. You see, Jesus said, “I am the Resurrection and the Life" (John 11:25) and I believe He did rise from the dead.  In the end of the book of Revelation, He says, "I was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and Hades." (Rev. 1:18)

Let me stop here and say this. Some of you reading this have your faith in religions that boast of leaders who are dead! The Muslims put their faith in Mohammed, a MAN, who is DEAD. Mohammed's influence may be great as Islam spreads over the earth but neighbor Mohammed never boasted he LIVES forevermore and has the keys to death, hell and the grave! Buddhists I love you and know that you may sincerely believe the path to eternal life is "enlightenment" as well as man improving himself to attain such state. But the figurehead of your religion, BUDDHA NEVER BOASTED as Jesus Christ has that He rose from the dead and has the keys to death and the grave. You cannot be saved except you believe that God raised JESUS, not Buddha, not Mohammed, not Confusicist, not Joseph Smith, and not even if Rick Warren should pass away, but JESUS CHRIST. I don't mean any disrespect to Mr. Warren but it sickens me AND IT SICKENS GOD how the church has clamored after this new age guru dressed up in preacher's garb claiming he knows the way for one to have a successful life. I can assure you MILLIONS are in hell who found their "purpose" in this life, but they failed to be born again and as a result they will stand at this judgment I speak of LOST and without God! I feel the same way about Joel Osteen and a host of other so-called preachers of the gospel who no longer preach the gospel of Jesus Christ that alone can save men from this eternal moment but instead sell vitamins, promote false doctrine, promote their own kingdoms and offer false promises of prosperity which are not based on the Word of God but humanistic philosophy! God help us in this hour! God help us.

Each time I visit the beach I look out over the vast waters and say, "Hey you out there, you're going to get up one day! You thieving buccaneers who died in the Spanish Main, and the folks who sank in the Lusitania, and the Titanic, and all those who sank in the great ships during the wars - you're all going get up one day." At the voice of the Son of God, they're going to rise. Millions, billions of them. And they're all going to stand at the Great White Throne Judgment. If they are saved they will stand at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Whether saint or sinner, both events are going to be a spectacle of eternal proportions! Where is it going to take place? I don't know where, but I know it will take place, since the Bible is the only book in the whole world that you can rely on.

The book of Revelation is not only at the end of the Bible, but it deals with the end of time and thus deals with what Jesus called the Great Tribulation period that is soon to erupt upon Planet Earth in such fashion that millions, if not BILLIONS of people will perish and set their eternal course for all time. Is it any wander that Isaiah declares that "Hell hath enlarged herself?" Eternity is real neighbor and it beckons at the door for each one of us at any moment's notice.

The Judge

Rev. 1:10-18 - I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, [11] Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. [12] And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; [13] And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. [16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. [17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

In contrast, at the end of the book of Revelation it says of the redeemed that they're going to come and they long to see His face. What do you think Jesus will look like? Fanny Crosby, who was the first woman in American history to address the joint session of Congress, was blind for 84 years. Someone once said to her, "It's a shame a great Christian like you is blind. You can't see the sunset. You can't see the lovely flowers. You're at such a disadvantage." "Oh, NO," she said, "I'm at a great advantage over you. Don't you realize the first face I ever see will be His face?!" Do you wonder that she wrote so many hymns about His face? Again, what do you think Jesus will look like? Some pictures portray Jesus with lovely blond hair, bright blue eyes, and a flaxen beard. But I'll tell you this - the Word of God paints a very different picture of Jesus than all of these put together.

The Apostle Paul got a picture of Jesus, not with a lamb in His arms, and not like the stained glass windows where Jesus looks pathetically feminine. He sees Jesus, and he says He's "the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, to whom be praise and glory forever. " (I Tim. 1:17) So we're going to see the King of kings. He's the Judge of judges in the Court of courts. There is no tribunal after this. There will be no appeals. There will be no excuses accepted before the Bema bar.  It is finished!

And when I hear people singing "Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters," or "Shake hands with Jesus," I say, "Forget it!" Listen, when you see Jesus, you're not going to go up and say, "Hey, buddy, I'm glad You died for me." When you see Jesus you'll be almost paralyzed with fear unless you have a glorified body and a glorified mind. John was given the book of Revelation as a prisoner on a devil's island - but he was in the Spirit when this enormous revelation was given to him. The picture of Jesus here in Revelation is not a picture of a pathetic individual pushed around by anybody who wants to push Him around. I think sometimes we think we're going to march up and say, "Well Jesus, You know how many years I served You, and how many souls I won for You, and how many sermons I preached for You ...!" Oh, no... it won't be like that at all even though that is the impression given by many preachers today. Our flippancy is our shame in this dreadful hour of apostasy. Our lack of reverence and thought for eternal matters is the noose hung around this generation's neck and neighbor we will be held accountable unlike any other generation based on what we've been given compared to what we've truly accomplished for the Kingdom of God.

The Bible says that "His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire; and His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been caused to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. And in His right hand He held seven stars; and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength. " (Rev. 1:14-16) And here is John, who used to lean his head on the bosom of Jesus, and hear that divine heartbeat. John was the man that I believe knew more about Jesus than anyone else, and when he saw Jesus in His majesty, this man who had walked with Him and talked with Him for three years, says, "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man." (Rev. 1:17) If John responded like that, what do you think you and I are going to do and are we going to respond to His majesty?!

If you have a judgment, you must have a judge! I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ needs a new revelation of the majesty of God! This is the King of kings! And He's the Judge of judges! And this is the Tribunal of tribunals! And there's no court of appeals afterwards. The verdict is final! There will be no biased judgment! People have said to me, "There is no justice in the earth today!" Well maybe there isn't! But I hang on to the Word which says, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" (Gen. 18:25)

The Unholy Dead

We see here the Judge in all His awesome majesty, in all His glory. What do you think the unholy dead, great and small, are going to do when they see Him on His throne? Do you think they will worship Him? No, they are going to be terrified! This is the great exposure! Everything is going to be exposed at the Great White Throne Judgment as well as the Judgment Seat of Christ (for the saints). They couldn't find the 18 minutes on the tapes that Mr. Nixon had. Well, I'll tell you who has a perfect record of them! And the transcripts are going to be read one day before everyone! There will be a thousand million or billion people when you stand there at the throne without your wife to lean on or your husband or your preacher or a friend. You can't send your lawyer. You can't send a representative. You can't send your parents. You can't send your Sunday school teacher. You can't send your priest. You can't send your psychologist.  Paul writes in Romans 14, "We must all stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ," being an ensample of the judgment for ALL mankind. Let me state it again. The child of God will stand at the Judgment seat of Christ for their works. This judgment will not be to determine whether we are saved but whether our works as believers will stand the fire of His eyes! It may seem at moments so horrific that Paul said many would be saved "as yet though by fire." I have a feeling some of us will get into the Pearly Gates with smoke coming from our backside. Neighbor that is how serious this coming judgment will be and let me assure you there will be no exceptions as to who will be there.

The unholy dead will appear 1,000 years later near the end of the Millennium Kingdom at the Great White Throne Judgement. John the Revelation called this "the second death."

Rev. 20:14-15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Can you see those millions of unholy dead? All the criminals who ever lived. All the prostitutes. All the men who make millions from pornography. Can you think of the pimps who pollute those little girls on West 42nd Street in New York? Can you imagine when God takes hold of history and empties it?! When every man who ever walked the streets of ancient Babylon with all its lusts, or Corinth which was just one colossal cesspool of impurity, must account for himself? When all that has happened in Las Vegas last night is going to be "thrown on the screen" in eternity! Every king that has ruled over England, the caliphs of Baghdad, the maharajas of India, the multi-millionaires, the billionaires - they're all going to stand one day! Can you imagine that? At the Judgment Seat of Christ the believer will have to account for all of their deeds done in the body. At the Great White Throne Judgement the sinner will do the same with one sad difference. The sinner will stand doomed for all eternity because they rejected the ONLY covering for their guilt before God - the BLOOD of the Lord Jesus Christ which was shed on Calvary's cross.

Every judge that sits in the high court is going to be judged one day by an Infallible Judge. How long will it take? I don't know and I don't care... because we're not going anywhere! I think one of the joys of eternity will be that the redeemed will see all the unholy dead judged, but the unholy won't see the judgment of the saints, because they won't be there.

Memory Is Eternal

Rev. 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

You may say, "Well, brother Chris, I won't be in serious trouble because I don't have a good memory." Well, you'll have one that day. There's going to be some awful revelations. There's going to be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. John says the books were opened. (Rev. 20:12) What books? I'm not really sure what the books are, but I think the book of the Ten Commandments for one, and I think maybe the Book of Memory for another thing. (Mal. 3:16)

Malachi 3:16
Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name
.

You see, memory is an amazing thing but it can also be an awful thing when considering what faces each one of us!  Memory will last into eternity. I don't think the redeemed will remember their sorrows and heartaches, but I'll tell you the sinner which in essence will be the unholy dead before God will remember every time somebody put a tract into their hand. Neighbor you will remember it through eternity and wish to God you still had a chance to respond and repent. You'll remember every one of their mother's prayers you have ever heard. You'll remember every word of every sermon you ever sat through. You're going to remember everything. How do I know? Because one day a man in hell prayed. It was not only the wrong place to pray, but he prayed to the wrong person (to Abraham), and he of course got the wrong answer (according to the answer he was looking for). "Child, remember that during your life, you received your good things ..." "But I don't want my brothers to come here!" But Jesus says, "REMEMBER. "(Luke 16:19-31) Memory is eternal. It will never die. Your memory isn't faulty. Everything you've done, every idle word you've spoken, and every action will one day be recalled.

The Great And the Small

The unholy dead are going to stand, great and small, before God. Sometimes I think of all the history that is going to pass before that throne in the flesh. The Caesars will be there. The Hitlers, the Hamans, the Stalins, the Sauls, the Judases. I can only imagine what will take place when Pontius Pilate stands before Jesus. I think he'll be more uncomfortable than Jesus felt standing before him! I can almost hear Pilate's sobs before the Christ when he declares once more "I find no fault in this man!" Oh neighbor what an awesome moment of all time this will be. What riveting scenes will play out for all to see? Hitler will stand before Israel's Jewish Messiah and realize his demonically inspired hatred for the Jewish race was not just toward a group of people hatred toward Jesus Christ, the KING of the Jews, the Son of God. Hitler will realize as the darkness of eternal hell descends upon him that his hatred for God's chosen people paled in comparison to the flames of eternity.

Pharaoh will be there. I can almost guarantee that he will once more see in his memory that moment when the Red Sea parted before his eyes yet because of his hardness of heart he chased Israel into the wall of blackness to destroy Moses and God's chosen people; instead a wall of darkness of water that crashed down upon him and his armies was but a speck of horror compared to another wall of blackness, this time not water but eternal fire, awaiting Pharaoh and all those who rebel and reject faith in the Living God. Judas will be there. Thirty pieces of silver the price they paid, thirty pieces of silver just the price of a slave. And this Christ my heart did betray; thirty pieces of silver the price of a slave. I can hear the pathos of Judas' cry as he sees the foundation of the Holy City where his name could have been but now his name will not be mentioned in the halls of heaven but hissed in the halls of the lake of fire.

Get that in your spirit. This will be the ONLY time that hell, which is populated at this very moment with the souls of all those who have died without Christ, will open its doors and its inhabitants allowed to leave. "Death and hell" will give up their dead, says the Scripture. I can assure you however, this will not be a happy time whatsoever for those walking out of hell's gates. It will be a sorrowful walk like the Bataan death march of World War II when thousands perished on a walk of death. This too will be a walk of death but this time the result will be eternal. There is no coming back ever. Eternity is forever and forever. One BILLION years from this moment eternity will not even have begun for both saint and sinner. The choice is either eternity with God and in the presence of the saints or eternity separated from God and in torment in the flames of hell. Oh' neighbor, God help the church. We argue about the color of the carpet, the suit the preacher wears, the choir robes, all the while MILLIONS of souls are screaming in agony at this very moment and even during the time it took me to write these words, thousands more slipped off into that dreadful place of darkness. Are you hearing me neighbor? This is burning in my soul!

It will be awesome yet terrible when we see the founders of all the false cults and religions of this world stand before God. Mohammed will be there; Confusicist will be there; Joseph Smith will be there; Buddha will be there; David Koresh will be there; Ophrah Winfrey will be there; Jim Jones will be there; Mahatma Gandhi will be there; thousands of Popes will be there; many preachers of the gospel, at least so-called preachers will be there. Some of you reading this know preachers right now who claim they are men of God yet they are not even born again. They are lost and will stand at the Judgment one day to give account for the souls they led astray into hell. Let me say it again and with greater force - ALL FALSE TEACHERS OF A FALSE GOSPEL IN THIS MODERN TIME WE LIVE IN WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to name names but I'll leave that be for now in hopes these modern new age gurus who are FULL OF THE DEVIL come to their senses before it's eternally too late, repent of their greed and desire to manipulate and control the masses, and start preaching the Gospel once more and pointing people to the Cross of Christ!! Somebody told me the other day "well Joel Osteen has them packed out in stadiums." Neighbor if Joel Osteen started preaching the gospel that will keep people out of hell he wouldn't have people to fill the front row!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God help us.

When, in God's name, is the Church going to open their heart and mind and see that every man will stand accountable to God? I don't care if he flies his own private jet or how many cities or millions of people he rules. It doesn't matter. The great of the earth and the lowest of the earth are all going to spend their time in eternity. They are going to live there forever and ever, "where their worm does not die (Mark 9:48) Hell won't be the same for everybody. Some will be beaten with a few stripes, some with many stripes. (Luke 12:47-48) But I tell you what - I'd rather be the least in the Kingdom of God than the greatest in the kingdom of the devil, both in time and in eternity.

A Plea To The Sinner

Friend you might say, "I don't really believe in God and I don't like to hear this kind of stuff." To be frank even those who claim they believe in God have stopped wanting to "hear this kind of stuff." We want to hear how rich God will make us; how blessed we need to be; how many cars we need to own; how many houses we should have; how many investments in this earth we should be making; but we don't want to hear about eternity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well, friend, let me tell you lovingly. If you like to drink, go with the drinkers. If you like to lust, go with the prostitutes. In hell, if you're given to lust, you'll have that lust, but there'll be nothing to satisfy it. In hell, if you drink, you'll still be thirsty, but there'll be nothing to satisfy your thirst. You'd give a king's ransom for one drop of water, but there isn't any - never mind the other stuff you drink. Mercy will be gone forever. Eternity without God will be one of the most saddest conditions one will ever embrace.

Better to be a poor pauper on this earth and have Christ in your heart for eternity than to be the king of a great domain and as the precious song declares "be held in sin's domain." I'd rather have JESUS than silver and gold or the things this world affords! Some moronic preacher from Northern Alabama was on a local Christian TV station recently and rebuked his congregation when they were singing this. In the middle of the song he said "stop singing this - I'd rather have the SILVER and GOLD!!" That was a quote not a paraphrase. GOD HELP THIS SELFISH GREEDY LUST DRIVEN decadent modern institution that has become church in this apostate laden era of history. Let me declare to you - I WANT JESUS! I NEED JESUS! I love Jesus. Chris McDonald may fall on his face every single day and twice on Sunday at times. I may take one step forward and get blind-sided and take three steps back but one thing he knows without a shadow of a doubt - HE WANTS JESUS CHRIST to be LORD over his heart, soul and mind. He knows where to run when he fails and that is the blood-stained hands of the World's Redeemer - MY SAVIOUR AND LORD - THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. My Lord somebody reading this needs to shout with me right now. My God help us. Do we care? Have we gotten so consumed by greed we don't care about the souls in hell? Have we gotten so caught up with our egos we have forgotten that we are but vessels of light to point those in darkness to the Cross? We are not called to point them to 12-step programs, rehab centers, the Purpose Driven Life, 40-days of purpose. GOD HELP US. Neighbor, I pray the Holy Ghost is shaking you right now. I pray he is letting you get a small glimpse as he is this writer of the terribleness of this coming day and the end result of billions without God!

Think of all the tribes and nations that will be judged. Think again of Pharaoh and Herod the Great, King Saul, Achan, Balaam, the false prophet of Israel who died with the enemies of the Lord, standing before Jesus and having to account for their deeds. Did you have your tribulations today? Maybe the bacon burned this morning or some other tragedy happened. Compared to those tragedies would it do us good to pause and think that somebody for Christ's sake is going to lose their head in Sudan, Indonesia, Iran, Afghanistan, China or Viet Nam or Russia? Do you think that Stalin ever dreamed that after all the bloody purges he made, he'd have to answer for every precious drop of blood he ever spilled? The Psalmist, David, says "Store my tears in Thy bottle. " (Psalm 56:8) I don't believe that anyone ever shed a tear, whether in compassion for souls or because of a broken heart, that fell to the ground. Our tears are stored by God, and God is going to count them out one day. The Jews perhaps may cry of Hitler, "God, scourge him, scourge him. Turn the furnace up in hell." But listen, God doesn't need any reminders. "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" (Gen. 18:25) If a man is torn with lust, if his mind is full of wickedness, if by his own actions he asks to be cast away from God with his own sin and misery forever and ever - then what? Well, what do you think it would be like if you'd killed six million people like that? God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing. Heaven takes no pleasure in this but friend for those who reject God and accept the ways of Satan, their lot will be the same as the devil - the lake of fire.

During the Tribulation men will seek death and will not be able to find it or hide from the wrath of the Lamb. (Rev. 6:17) Neighbor at this time in history there will be no hiding or relief of death from the wrath of the Lamb who will sit on the throne judging mankind! Can you think of men seeing every sin they have ever committed? Sins of the flesh and sins of the spirit. Sins against God and sins against man. They are pursued by the hounds of hell baying after them and they say, "If only I could die and get out of this!" And yet if he tries to die, he will not die. In Revelation 4 you have Christ on the throne, you have a rainbow over the throne which is a covenant sign of mercy, and you have four and twenty elders. But there's nobody here in Revelation 20 sharing justice with Jesus. He sits supreme on the throne. There's no four and twenty elders. There's no sea of glass. There's no rainbow of mercy. Mercy has gone forever.

It's Not Too Late For Mercy Yet

I don t care how twisted and corrupt your life is at this moment - it is not too late to ask for forgiveness and throw yourself at the foot of the Cross of Christ. God can and will forgive you if you repent of your sin, plead for the blood of Christ, and ask for mercy! It is not too late to ask for mercy. You may wonder, "Can God really forgive all the rottenness and corruption in my life?" He certainly can. Why? Because today Jesus is still on a throne of mercy. You can find His grace and His help. But when we see Him at the Judgment, He will no longer be on a throne of mercy. He will be on a throne of justice. His first time on earth He was a tender Christ, the Lamb of God, who went about doing good, touching babies and blessing people. There's nothing more beautiful than a little lamb and there's nothing more terrible than the wrath of the Lamb. One day God's mercy is going to be cut off and then we will have the wrath of the Lamb.

Rev. 6:17
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Closing - God's Goodness and His Severity

I think we'd better watch this business of giving people only part of the Gospel. We need to be very careful of our sloppy evangelism techniques that make true faith so easy and does not attach the requirements of repentance and obedience to Christ. We have taken the Cross of Christ and prostituted it to become a magic talisman for sinful wicked man to get anything he wants with the wave of a magic wand or the snap of the fingers.

Yes, it is absolutely true that God loves us, but we as preachers of the gospel MUST remind people of the goodness and the severity of God. One thing that's wrong with the world is that it thinks it's done with Jesus Christ and it hasn't even started with Him yet. For He stands at the end of the trail for every man - rich or poor, bondsman or freeman, black or white. Will we remind them that there is a day when mercy is cut off forever? Will we remind them that people pray in hell, but nobody answers? The dead, great and small, are going to stand before God in that awesome day. The books are going to be opened, and justice, not mercy, will prevail. There is no mercy. Mercy is gone forever. Multitudes of people will be crying, "The harvest is past and the summer is ended and we are not saved." (Jer. 8:20) Will we remind them while God is still sitting on a throne of mercy, that everyone, without exception, will one day stand either before the Judgment Seat of Christ or the Great White Throne Judgment?

Be wise, repent, and believe the Gospel. It's getting late neighbor and it's harvest time.

Jeremiah 8:20
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

Jesus Christ Died For Your Sins So You Will Not Be Part Of Those Who Cry Jeremiah's Horrific Declaration! TODAY is the day of salvation!
