Faiths Defense

This special section of Spirit Journals is one of our newest areas of the site yet probably the most important. We are developing several lessons and studies on various aspects of defending the faith. Unlike anytime in human history the attacks on the Gospel of Jesus Christ have never been more violent and deceptive at the same time. The attack is not so much from without but from within as backslidden preachers of the Gospel are preaching a false gospel pointing people to a false Christ driven by a false Spirit. (2 Cor. 11:4) The Holy Spirit warned us through Paul who wrote to Timothy that "in the last days" men would depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. That time is no longer approaching us - it is here. The apostasy of the last days will continue to grow and get worse as we draw closer to the Rapture of the church, which we believe could take place at any moment. Incidentally, the attacks on the Rapture have never been greater than they are right now. Those who believe in the imminent return of Jesus for His Church are being lampooned, mocked, ridiculed and laughed at but as I heard one preacher say recently, "we'll know shortly who is right - those who believe in a Pre-Tribulation rapture or those who don't." Neighbor, it does not take a spiritual genius to see the days we are living in are prophetic in nature as words spoken by prophets 3500 years ago are beginning to come to pass before our eyes.

In these perilous times the faith must be Defended! Jude tells us to "earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints." That is what this section seeks to do. I warn you. Don't pull these links up and not expect to have a reaction. We have already experienced an onslaught of emails this past year about this site and the tenor of those emails were not to nominate us for man of the year honors. I only expect that to get worse as well. We don't set out to deliberately defend folks but when you speak truth, it is always a good possibility that someone is going to get mad.

May the Lord keep you little children in these last days from error and keep you grounded in HIS WORD, HIS TRUTH and FULL OF HIS SPIRIT. That is the only hope to remain steadfast in these days of deception and error. God help us as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ to return to the preaching of the Cross in these last days. Man's hope is not found in the Purpose Driven Life (LIE), the 12-step programs of rehab centers, or the babblings of fools who equate prosperity with what type car you have in the garage or the amount of clothes you wear. Rich people don't die and go to heaven or hell because they are rich. Poor people don't die and go to heaven or hell because they are poor. Rich people die and go to hell because they don't allow their riches to bring them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Poor people who go to heaven go because they do not let their poverty keep them from such. He that has an ear let Him hear what the Spirit says to the Church in these last days!
