Over 200 Million Christians
Face Persecution on a Daily Basis Worldwide

where persecution is growing. The Persecuted Church NEEDS your prayers!
Did you know that there have been more Christians
killed in the 20th century than in the previous nineteen centuries combined
according to reports and sources within the American media? The number continues
to grow daily in the 21st century with an ever increasing hatred towards God's
people by those who wish to remove Christianity from the face of the planet. As
you read more about Christian persecution in Africa, Asia, China, India, Laos,
and Vietnam, please pray. And please send Bibles to help strengthen these brave
children of God.
Imagine looking over your shoulder because you are
studying a Bible, or worshipping in church. Imagine that if you are caught, you
could be jailed, beaten, or even killed. To millions of Christians around the
world, this is the stark reality. Christians are persecuted daily For instance,
in China and Vietnam, Communist governments are cracking down on unregistered
house churches, disrupting worship, and arresting their leaders. In parts of
Central Asia where the state religion is mandated, Christians are considered
traitors to their country and their families. Family members are beaten, and
then thrown out of their house and onto the streets. In the Middle East and
parts of India and Africa, laws prohibit Christians from evangelizing, and
forbid citizens from choosing Christianity over the religion into which they
were born. Christians caught sharing God’s Word are chased out of town, beaten,
or worse.

A
Christian prisoner in Cuba was asked to sign a statement containing charges
against fellow Christians that would lead to their arrest. He said: "the
chain keeps me from signing this." The Communist officer protested,
"but you are not in chains!" "I am," said the
Christian. "I am bound by the chain of witnesses who throughout the
centuries gave their lives for Jesus Christ. I am a link in this chain. I will
not break it." - Jesus Freaks, page 49, Albury Publishing, Oklahoma City,
OK, 1999

Pray for the persecuted church in the Middle East
and Africa, especially SUDAN
"For we do not want you to be ignorant,
brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond
measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the
sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God
who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver
us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us, you also helping together in
prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the
gift granted to us through many" (2 Corinthians 1:8-11).
"It is easy to
die for Christ. It is hard to live for Him. Dying takes only an hour or two, but
to live for Christ means to die daily. Only during the few years of this life
are we given the privilege of serving each other and Christ... We shall heaven
forever, but only a short time for service here, and therefore we must not waste
the opportunity."
-- Sadhu Sundar Singh
'These
men of faith I have mentioned died without ever receiving all that God had
promised them; but they saw it all awaiting them on ahead and were glad, for
they agreed that this earth was not their real home but that they were just
strangers visiting down here. And quite obviously when they talked like that,
they were looking forward to their real home in heaven. If they had wanted to,
they could have gone back to the good things of this world. But they didn't
want to. They were living for heaven. And now God is not ashamed to be called
their God, for he has made a heavenly city for them. (TLB) Heb 11:13-16'
